Disney Princess Room Reveal #DisneyPaintMom

As I mentioned, I am part of the #DisneyPaintMom program, where I was hired to paint my daughters room using, All That Glitters, one of the Glidden Disney Paints, which can be found at Walmart.  Over the last few weeks I shared with you all about Disney Paint, and told you how we were semi-transforming my daughter room to fit her princess personality.  She was going to have a Disney Princess Room.  Before we started her room looked a little something like this:

Painting A Girls Room

I updated a few weeks ago as we painted her room but to refresh your memory, we had supplies and I recruited my husband to help:

I mentioned loving the fact that there was a rule you shouldn’t paint in a straight line, so I was able to take over and do quite a bit of it myself.  Had straight lines been needed it would have been all him…every single coat.  Once dry, we loved the sparkle it added to the wall.  Her color was a neutral color, so when she gets older I don’t have to paint over it.  Thankfully, glitter sticks with most girls throughout their time at home.  If she is anything like me she will be a glitter lover for pretty much all her life.  Once the coats were dry it was time to start adding the final touches.

While the glitter look will probably hang with her for many years, I know there will be a day when she grows out of princesses.  For her decor, we decided to go with wall clings to compliment the bed spread we received.  The clings went with the bed spread perfectly.  She was able to have a princess theme without us having to worry about it being a hassle to fix down the road.

Princess Room For Girls Princess Room

Do you see that awesome glitter in the top photo set (the wide photo)?  How awesome does that look?  The best part about this, is while it looks super glittery in that photo, it’s not too overpowering.  It really depends on the time of day as to just how glittery it looks.  Sometimes it looks like a princess dropped a bomb of glitter on my daughters wall and other times it looks like a light dusting.   Regardless if it looks strong or not, it looks beautiful and she loves it.

We were ready to show her room to friends and family.   First, though, we had to make sure we had some princess treats.  My daughter wanted to make the treats for our family and friends so we went with simple.  Juice and cake, after all I like to say “Let Them Eat Cake”. She even decorated the cake and cupcakes all by herself…no high maintenance princesses here.

Princess Party Snacks

Cupcakes were topped with pink and clear crystals and little flower candies.    For the mini cake she simply wanted a “garden”.  So that’s what she made, a fun flower garden, though we may need to work on her spacing skills a little.  No matter, the butter cake was scrumptious perfectly spaced flowers or not.  Next, it was time to make sure we had a makeup station and plenty of tiaras, so everyone could be a princess:

Finally, it was time to get ready for friends and family to arrive, who would see her Disney Princess Room for the first time.  The girl put on her princess attire, but not before making sure she put up photos of her prince charming as a final touch to her princess themed room:

The friends and family who came to Princess Bella’s room unveiling LOVED the look she went with.  Before everyone headed home we drew a name from a hat and one of our guests won a $50 Walmart Gift Card.  Now if they want a new look, they can get started!  Glidden’s Disney “All That Glitters” Paint made the room shine and the girl has loved her new look since we transformed it.

Be sure to check out more information and how to videos on DisneyPaint.com, then share the ideas you hope to use the Disney Paints in.  Have you seen any of this new paint at your local Walmart??
