A few days ago I wanted to make sure to say Thank You to the sponsors who, without which, Brandcation would not have been possible. Today I want to highlight in a bit more detail why the Emerald Grande in Destin, Florida is the perfect place to stay and play this summer. I also want to highlight the fun I had on this trip. You can head over to Two Traveling Moms to see more individually broken down posts on the events and places we visited.
If you are ever heading to Destin you definitely want to look into staying at the beautiful Emerald Grande Resort.
Located on Destin’s Harborwalk Village you will find yourself rarely needing your car because of all there is to do, see and eat right there. They offer 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom condos. We stayed in one of their 2 bedroom plus bunk room condos and it was perfect. On the 8th floor it overlooked the pool with a stunning view out into the harbor. I could have stayed right in my room and been happy the entire time. Check out a few pics from the condo:
Not pictured is the living area, dining area, full kitchen, master bed and master bath. In each condo there is also a washer/dryer combo so you don’t have to return home with dirty clothes. As a mom this would be the perfect place to stay because of the full kitchen it wouldn’t require a lot of eating out and that is definitely easier on the pocket book. Though if you do want to eat out it is just a short elevator ride down the Grande Vista Bar & Grille (located in Emerald Grande) or you can keep going down to Harborwalk Village.
Check out some of the tasty treats we had while there.
The restaurants we ate at while in Destin were:
- Grande Vista Bar and Grille (breakfast & lunch)
- La Familigia (dinner)
- Crab Island Cantina (dinner)
- Harry T’s (lunch)
- Starbuck’s (delivered breakfast one morning)
I loved that I didn’t have to get in my car and drive, each restaurant was located in Harborwalk Village and was just a short walk from our room. The Grande Vista Bar & Grille was the resorts restaurant. With menu items like Gouda Burger (Harry T’s), Fried Shrimp (Crab Island Cantina), and Chicken On The Deck (Grande Vista Bar & Grille) your tastebuds won’t be left hanging. There truly is something for everyone.
Last I want to talk about the amount of activities there are to do right there at Harborwalk Village.
Have an adult night out and take a cruise on the Buccaneer for their adult only ride. You WILL laugh until you cry. While the adult only cruises are not for kids, they do offer family friendly cruises so those little pirate fans can have a little fun. For some above water adventure be sure to check out Kitty Hawk Kites and enjoy some paddleboarding, while we didn’t get a chance to, due to weather, I fully intend on going back. I love to paddleboard.
If you want to go below the surface and get face to face with some sea creatures be sure to check out Destin Snorkel. You can go on a snorkel or snuba adventure to see the beautiful sea life we have here on the Emerald Coast. Don’t forget to check out Cartoons By Deano while you are strolling along Harborwalk, what better way than to remember your Destin vacation than with a fun caricature.
Whether you are traveling with the girls, having a guy trip, or doing a family vacation Destin is definitely a place that offers something for everyone. With nightlife, water parks, beautiful beaches, and top of the line accommodations it’s the perfect area to consider when you are planning your summer vacations.
Be sure to check out Two Traveling Moms over the coming weeks as I break down some of the fun I had and really showcase the actives, places and food that will have you wanting to book your trip sooner rather than later.
**Most expenses were taken care of on this trip because of the awesome sponsors and all other expenses that weren’t covered, I covered myself. All thoughts, opinions, and thanks are my own*
