*This is a partnered post. I received a gift card to try Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. All opinions are my own* GIVEAWAY WINNER HAS BEEN CONTACTED!

Recently, my husband and I took a much-needed date day to visit Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville in Destin, Florida. The moment we walked up, to the Margaritaville restaurant, we knew this lunch date was going to have the vacation vibe. Living at the beach, we like to find

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the staff and taken straight to our table, which happened to be overlooking the boat pass. It was wonderful to sit and over look the water and enjoy seeing all the different boats. The only downside, when sitting there if the breeze starts blowing (it feels great) you will get a whiff of all the boat fuel. It wasn’t overbearing, but if you are sensitive to that you may want to request an indoor seat.
Our waitress immediately came and took our drink and appetizer order. I ordered Tranquil Waters, which is a cool blue concoction of Cruzan® Mango Rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice and mango. My husband ordered the perfect margarita that includes Margaritaville Gold and Silver Tequila, triple sec, Bols® Orange Curaçao and lime juice on the rocks. For our appetizer we chose the asiago crab and artichoke dip.
After we received our appetizers, we got to visit and wait for our dinner. For dinner, my husband ordered the Catch of the day, which came with island rice, chef’s choice of veggie, and mango salsa! I decided to try the Louisiana Cajun Shrimp and Grits, which was a huge serving of cheddar cheese grits topped with sautéed shrimp and Andouille sausage gravy! Both dishes were full of flavor!
After we cleaned our plates, and when I say we cleaned, I mean there was nary a crumb left, we ordered dessert. My husband tried their famous key lime pie, while I opted to try the warm brownie with ice cream! Both desserts were scrumptious and perfect for when you want to give in to your sweet tooth!

Overall, we had a great time, left with full bellies and enjoyed our lunch date at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville in Destin. I will say, it was a little pricey and the only disappointment we had was with my husbands perfect margarita. As you can see, once he drank the actual drink (which was like 3 sips to be completely honest), there was mostly ice, which melted to leave half a glass of water:

The meal for us both (with tip) was $120, so it is a bit pricey and the margarita was mostly ice with very little drink. If you share food and skip the drinks, though, you can have a meal for much less. Overall, the food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will visit again, but forgo the drinks and probably share a plate.
