Good Eats: Zoës Kitchen in Pensacola, Florida

Coastal Life

It’s time for another Coastal Life review! This time we are going to enjoy tastes of the Mediterranean right here on the Florida Gulf Coast. I was invited to check out a new restaurant to our area, Zoës Kitchen. I had actually never heard of Zoës Kitchen until they reached out to me, to do a review of their new Pensacola, Florida Restaurant. Of course, we love to find fun and new places to eat, so we were super excited to be treated to lunch at Zoës Kitchen.

About Zoës Kitchen

Born in the Mediterranean and raised in the South, Zoës Kitchen is a natural extension of Zoë Cassimus’ lifetime of cooking for family and entertaining friends. Our menu is inspired by Zoë’s family recipes and her simple, fresh-from-the-garden sensibility. At Zoës, ingredients are delivered fresh through the back door daily.

What you’ll find at Zoës Kitchen is Mediterranean-inspired food, where grilling is the predominate method of cooking along with an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, olive oil and lean proteins; all while keeping our guests’ dietary concerns in mind– with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

Zoë means “life” in Greek and this is embraced in every aspect of Zoës Kitchen. We embrace the Mediterranean way of life – that a fulfilled, happy life is one shared with family, good friends, great food and that eating wholesome, fresh ingredients is key. Zoës delivers goodness by giving our guests more time to celebrate life by offering simple, convenient and tasty recipes that can be enjoyed throughout life’s many occasions. Live Zoës and live life to the fullest with flavors of the Mediterranean shared among friends and family!

Eat At Zoes

For my visit, Zoës Kitchen, invited my husband and I to enjoy appetizers, entrees, and drinks. My friend, Mary even joined us on her lunch break, so I had the chance to catch up with her. The first thing I noticed about Zoës Kitchen, is the bright decor. It definitely screams Mediterranean and brightens your mood. The first thing I noticed was they offered a great selection on their menu. With everything from starters all the way through desserts you have a lot to choose from!

We started with the tomato bisque soup and the hummus trio. I LOVED both. They were full of flavor. The tomato basil soup was thick and creamy, it would definitely be a first choice for me on a cold day. The hummus trio comes with classic, red pepper, and pesto hummus. To dip they give you pita bread and veggies. Each hummus was delish, but our favorite was definitely the pesto hummus.

Food at Zoes Kitchen

For our main entrees, I got the steak kabobs and my husband got the greek salad. The portions were really big, so when you go you really could share a plate. My husbands greek salad was full of veggies and chicken strips. The steak kabobs were grilled to perfection with veggies mixed in. Our entire lunch was so good and yes there were definitely left overs.

The food could make Zoës Kitchen stand out all on it’s own, but what really impressed me was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They all wore smiles on their faces and were eager to help. The only bad about the entire visit is I forgot to order myself one of their desserts…guess I’ll just have to go back! So, the next time you are in Pensacola stop in and enjoy a meal at Zoës Kitchen!
