Webkinz has always been a hit in our home. The love of Webkinz started with my oldest who collected more Webkinz than I’d like to admit. Like way more! However, I do love the smile it has brought all 3 of my kids. My daughter is the one who enjoys them most now. Even without the game part she is a lover of stuffed animals. More often than not her room looks like it barfed up stuffed animals…but she loves them so you can imagine her love for Webkinz!
Recently, I had the chance to be a part of a Webkinz tour with Mom Central much to my daughters excitement. She was so excited to have some new “babies” she could care for and interact with. I love watching her get so excited to join, adopt, and create on Webkinz. It’s so easy to get started. You meet the adorable character who walks you through the steps to join as a member:

You enter your information and preferred username (be creative because chances are something cute will be taken). After that, you will pick a password and enter your Webkinz secret code (this can only be used once):

Next you enter the Captcha, read a few more rules, pick your pets name and gener, and finally you have adopted a new pet:

Finally, it’s time to take your new adoptee to the doctor to make sure everything is A-okay:

After you are all cleared it’s time to decorate your pets room, get ready to have fun. There are quite a few times my daughter has had to swat me away because I was so excited to help decorate…unfortunately mom isn’t quite cool in the decorating department.

For choices galore and to decorate as you build on rooms be sure to check out the store. Here you will get food, decor, fun toys, clothes and so much more:

There truly is no end to how much fun your kids can have on Webkinz interacting with your pet and decorating rooms to exactly their taste. However taste requires Kinz cash. To earn Kinz cash you just head over to one of the jobs available or to the arcade where winning adds $$$ to your Kinz cash account. The games in the arcade are fun and range from easy to a bit more difficult (read Mom couldn’t even win LOL).

The girl has has so much fun playing online with her Webkinz, as well as toting the actual Webkinz around wherever we go. Webkinz also has a facebook page where you can have Webkinz fun right from facebook. Which, for me, meant I could decorate to my hearts content without having to worry about the girl not liking what I did. Just like on the site you can adopt a pet, build a house, decorate and even add businesses and much more. For this you don’t even have to have a secret code. While the interface is a bit different and I prefer the Webkinz.com version this is a simple way to have some Webkinz fun.
With Christmast right around the corner, Webkinz, are a great gift idea for those kids who love to “take care” of something, love stuffed animals, and/or love online games. Fun, easy and very kid friendly Webkinz is always a hit in our home. I have a feeling there will be a few more additions after Christmas.
**I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Webkinz. I received a product sample and a promotional item to thank me for participating
