Slumber Party Fun With Swingset Games #Giveaway (WINNER ANNOUNCED)

I remember the days when I was growing up sleeping over at a friends house. We would play games, laugh, and just have an all around good time. That same tradition goes on today the only difference is some of the games have changed…but in a good way of course. Swingset Press is the maker of the new cool thing to do with your friends at a slumber party. With so many fun games to choose from there are hours of fun waiting to be had. We received three games to test out and see just how much fun they really were. We were not disappointed.

First up we tried Star Awardz:

Are you a S.T.A.R (Singing Toetapping Acting Ridiculous) kind of person?  Get ready to sing, act out, do something crazy!  With actions like sing the entire theme song to Wizards of Waverly place with no mistake or pick up a piece of crumpled trash with your toes and throw it away.  My daughter and I played this together and we were fit to be tied from laughing.  Whether we had to dance an emotion or sing a song this game kept us on our toes and having a blast.

Next we tried Ultimate Truth or Dare.

With lots of truths and dares to choose from there is no lack of hilarity in this game.  The dares are not anything to extensive but you may want to weed through them depending on your kiddos age.  Pick the first number in your phone and call them or answer a truth sharing on a scale of 1 to 10 how cute do you think so and so is, brings back the age old game from my childhood with funnier questions and dares.  There are different levels of dares, as noted above, so you may want to take out the harder ones if you have kids on the younger side of 7 + playing.  Each level and each truth gets you X amount of points, the first player to 100 wins.  It’s a game that’s been around for years but now you don’t have to think of the questions and dares yourself.  We loved it.

Last was my personal favorite, Acting Out:

This game takes the concept of charades to a whole new level.  Each participant, when it’s their turn, has to draw one act out card and one sound out card.  The act out card is the action you will be doing, the sound out card is the sound you will be making.  Check out these two cards we drew the first round:

I wish I would have gotten video of myself demonstrating to my daughter how to play the games when these cards were pulled.  Wait, no I don’t that would have been a bit humiliating.  It had her in stitches anyways.  So for this you can see we had to act like a clumsy cheerleader while complaining like a starving parrot.  As you act and sound out the actions your friends have to try to guess what you are doing.  If they do you get points and can be on the road to achieving your emmy…or just the fact that you have awesome acting abilities.

We have been having so much fun with these games and I know as my daughter has her next slumber party they will be brought out for hours of fun.  Each game is priced at $14.99.  Before you go buying it though, enter to win your choice of one of the three games reviewed in this post.
