Samsung Galaxy S III Hotspot Feature #VZWA #Samp

I’ve had the Samsung Galaxy S III for a little over a month now and I am still learning so much about this jazzy piece of equipment. I have apps, apps, and more apps. There is S Voice. There is a bubble game that I am completely addicted to but today is about none of that. Today we are going to talk about a feature I love and am going to put to good use recently.

The HotSpot feature. With my current phone I can use it as a hotspot but I had to download something to my computer, connect it by usb, open the downloaded program, open the wifi settings, click on tether, open the app icon, go into wifi on my computer, connect and then FINALLy get online. I can’t complain because until what I am sharing with you today it’s kept me connected when I wouldn’t be otherwise. Those steps are a hassle…way too many.

That brings me to the Samsung Galaxy S III hotspot feature.  Using Verizon’s Share Everything plan you can turn your device into a hotspot that will allow you to connect your wireless enabled device on the go.  Being in social media that’s very important to me.  Being a mom, it’s just as important to keep my sanity on road trips LOL.  I love that I can connect my Macbook, my iPad, and my daughters iPod along with several other devices.  As long as my Samsung Galaxy S III is connected to the Verizon network I can make it a mobile hotspot.

As we traveled down to Orlando from Navarre, Florida I loved being able to jump on my MacBook and check email, write posts, and of course check facebook.  In fact I was able to start this post while we were on the road.  Unfortunately my kids realized the connection and quickly decided they needed to be connected instead.

Definitely a plus, being connected  and having it included in the plan.  With different levels of plan you can get the one that is enough for you.  Get enough data without getting way too much. The best part about the share everything plan is that the mobile hotspot feature is included at no additional cost for capable smartphones and tablets. Turn your device into a personal mobile hotspot and share your connection and your plan’s allowance with multiple WiFi-enabled devices. **Just make sure you have the best data plan for your needs so you don’t go over.

The hotspot feature definitely is one of the first favorites I noted when I started using the Samsung Galaxy S III and Verizon service.  I love that the speed is fairly fast (this does depend on the area and service of course) and that I can stay connected.  No apps needed I just simply connect like I do my wi-fi at home.  Definitely gets A Daily Dose of Toni’s approval.

Does your current phone have a hotspot feature?
