When it comes to snacking before dinner, after school, or after a sports game I want something for my kids (and husband) that will fill their belly. Sure it’s easy to let them grab a bag of chips but that’s not something I want them to be eating all the time, not to mention 5 minutes later they will say they are hungry again. I want something for them that has a little more sustenance. So I head out to…
I headed into my local Walmart, on a mission. A mission to find a more filling snack, that both my husband and kids will like. Especially for my kids who come home from food and before “Hi, Mom” I hear “Mom, I’m Hungry”. However, it’s never good to shop on an empty stomach so I grabbed some breakfast before hitting the aisles.
The tummy full so I can concentrate on a snack for my family that is filling and tasty. I headed for the freezer section and could not help but notices these beautiful flowers.
Aren’t they just the prettiest and brightest flowers!! After a moment of being side tracked I finally made it to the freezer section to find the Hot Pockets…a more filling and very tasty snack for my family. I have to say they had a great selection, there was so much to choose from finding three was definitely a task…
I narrowed it down to the “flavors” and “styles” I felt would best suit my family and headed home to see their reactions. Being pepperoni lovers that was a given and I decided two different style crusts would do. My husband is a philly cheesesteak fan and when I saw the Philly Steak & Cheese I knew that was a must.
After heading home, it was time to put them to the test. Luckily, for me, the hubby was working from home so I was able to make him a tasty snack to try. I headed to my kitchen…which is no Nestle Kitchen, but it will do…for now. He LOVED the Philly Steak & Cheese Hot Pocket. Exact words when he finished were “That was awesome, do we have another one”. Lucky for him we did!
While, I didn’t get the photos, I did try the Crispy Crust Pepperoni and it was very tasty. The crust turned out golden and it was definitely crisper than the original style Hot Pockets. My oldest and youngest both enjoyed eating the Hot Pockets as a snack to hold them over while they are doing homework, until it’s time for dinner.
I have to say I think Hot Pockets are a great, filling, after school snack perfect for busy families because they cook in such a short time. We give them two thumbs up! I like that they’re quick to fix and filling.
I have always loved Hot Pockets and happy that my boy likes them too. They make a great quick snack and are filling enough if dinner is going to take a long time.
they look like a good light snack
