Thanks to Pensacola’s Bonefish Grill for inviting me out to enjoy dinner and see the new look and try out the new menu items. They graciously provided me a gift card, but the thoughts of the food and the new look are all my own!

My husband and I, along with 12 friends, headed to Pensacola’s Bonefish Grill to enjoy a night of food and fun!

I had been there a few months ago with my husband and the minute we walked in I immediately noticed the difference. The renovations made the restaurant much more open, and our group had the chance to enjoy one of the two new private rooms at Pensacola’s Bonefish Grill.

The new contemporary interior design offers a warm and elegant space that is sophisticated and inviting. The main dining room showcases an extraordinary bonefish sculpture made of stainless steel and sequined scales that glisten in the light while the atmosphere features a contemporary blend of warm earthy tones, golden hardwood accents, natural materials and metallically embellished wood flooring. Rows of round pendant lights are etched to depict mangrove trees, a personification of the restaurants’ heritage, that shine light through the branches to provide a seamless barrier between the bar and main dining room.
I love that they got rid of the stand alone booths. It made the area is much more open. They also completely re-did their bar area and it’s quite impressive! It was very appealing to the eye. The two private rooms are perfect for when you have a big group, and it sticks with the Bonefish Grill decor. We had a blast laughing and carrying on, and it was great to know we weren’t disturbing other patrons.
Pensacola’s Bonefish Grill Menu

They also have a weekly specials and dessert menu. With classics and new items alike there is something for you at Bonefish Grill.

They’ve added new items, so be sure to stop in and see what’s changed since you last visited Pensacola’s Bonefish Grill.
The Food
We started our meal with the Ahi-Tuna Sashimi and Ceviche.

I could have ordered several of these and been happy. The Ceviche is chilled bay scallops, marinated shrimp, fish, fresh pineapple, coconut, cilantro and guacamole, seasoned crisps for dipping. The Ahi Tuna Sashimi is premium sushi grade, sesame-seared rare with wasabi + pickled ginger.
In the past, we have also tried the Bang-Bang shrimp, and it was delish. All of the appetizers were an excellent starter to what we knew was going to be an incredible meal.

Because there were so many of us, I was able to snap a photo of a few plates to show you some of what Bonefish Grill offers. For myself, I decided on Rhea’s Cobia with a side of potatoes and asparagus. The fish was so moist and cooked to perfection. The flavors blended just right. The lump crab mixed with the lime sauce topped the fish. I loved that I felt like I was getting a sampler of seafood! My husband went with the Sirloin and Crab Cake dinner. Everything he tried, was full of flavor and cooked just as we requested.
In the photo, there are a few other meals featured that some of our friends ordered. Not one person had a complaint and plates were mostly empty, except for those of us who saved room for dessert. In which case they boxed up our meals and drew a fun little drawing.

We also enjoyed the bread and dip while we waited for our dinner. It was loved so much by everyone I think we all got it “refilled” several times. They even sell the dip, but you will have to ask, and it’s a little on the pricier side. For dessert, I tried the Chocolate Creme Brulee. It was exquisite. Chocolate custard with a hint of Grand Marnier and topped with whipped cream. It was so rich and smooth, an ideal way to end the meal!

The new look and menu items at Pensacola’s Bonefish Grill enhance the experience at a superb restaurant. Whether you are looking to do a family dinner, date night or group meal be sure to head into Pensacola’s Bonefish Grill to check out the new look and items. You will leave with a smile on your face (the service is impeccable) and a full belly!
