During our Facing Fears Together Event, I had the chance to check ou the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport thanks to Drive Shop! We got to drive it from Orlando back to Navarre. Let me tell you, this is one sporty little SUV. You get the feel of an SUV but in smaller form, so it’s not intimidating to switch to from a car. The one they gave to me to try out was full of so many bells and whistles, it was enough to make any person drool.
I want to touch on, possibly, my favorite feature. The Panoramic glass roof with LED lighting. You can’t see the lighting because we didn’t get good shots at night, but I LOVED this pano roof. It made you feel like you were riding in the open sky. It doesn’t open like most sunroofs, but the glass stays in place so you can enjoy views. If you need a little less light, close the shade, and you are back to an average car feel. This was fun both during the day and night to see the sky and stars. Makes car rides much more interesting.
The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport makes a driver’s life much easier. With everything close and easy to get to, safety is key. Most controls (for phone, audio, cruise) can be accessed on the steering wheel itself. Then windows, seat adjustments, traction control, 4wd, mirror adjustments, are all right where they are readily available for the driver. I love that!
Keeping with accessibility functions, the dashboard and navigation system make life much easier for a driver. The 6.1″ touch screen display features navigation, music, sound settings, and backup camera. Right in the line of the drivers sight is the dashboard that features the speedometer, RPM, and adjustable info settings. I love that I could easily see how many MPG I was getting, how long until empty, outside temperature and trip length. For entertainment, you have the optional Sirius XM radio, FM, AM, Bluetooth, USB, and SD audio. So you always have your favorite songs ready to go. I love that I can listen to my favorite playlist while driving!
The leather seats are pretty comfy for long road trips. The front two seats offer optional seat heat, sorry back seaters I got nothing for ya, except a better view of the panoramic roof! The drivers seat is an 8-way adjustable seat, so no matter who is driving they can get seat perfection! The passenger seat is manually adjusted. The back seat splits into the 60/40 so if you need extra space for hauling stuff you’ve got it.
Even though it’s a smaller SVU, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport doesn’t lack in the trunk area. Four women had a ton of luggage, and it fit every piece of it. Also in the trunk area is your spare tire. For those who love their music, it boasted a 710W Rockford Fosgate premium sound system with nine speakers through the care and a 10-inch subwoofer in the trunk area. Get ready to jam out on your trips!
The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport impressed my husband because it had the 4WD, so this not only makes an excellent vehicle for a family of four (or less) but it is perfect for those who love to hunt but still need a great commuter car! Or if you are a fan of outdoor activities, this is a vehicle you should look into. When you start shopping for that car, and are looking to go the SUV route, don’t count out the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, it packs a punch for being a smaller SUV!
**Thank you to Drive Shop for the chance to test out the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. All thoughts and opinions are my own**
