I am finding more and more things I really like about the HTC Windows Phone 8x. Today we are talking all about the sound…or the beat rather. A little background on yours truly here, music is a big part of my life and I was in dance for 15 years when growing up. To say I love music is an understatement…music is a part of who I am. I may not be able to sing, but I can dance and that means wanting to hear music all.the.time!
It’s one thing to listen to music and the sound be okay but it’s a whole new experience when the sound of the music just “infects” your whole being. One of the things I have to say that gives the windows phone a leg up over my current phone is the Beats Audio™ feature. What is beats audio? In my terms it’s the feature that will get you bumping, jumping, dancing, and moving. You feel the beat, you don’t just hear it. As a dancer that is important to me…it’s one thing to listen to music and a completely different thing to feel it.
To activate Beats Audio™ you simply plug in the headphones (well on this particular phone, not sure if this is the case for all phones) and voila it’s ready to go. The first song I listed to was Gangham Style and I have to say the sound quality was AMAZING. Beats Audio™ really brought out the base in the song and it had me up and moving in an instance. I also took a moment to listen to several other styles of music (dubstep, boys bands, female singers, rock) and I noticed there was definitely a richer sound with the Beats Audio™ than without.
The beats audio works with any headset but if you have one of the specially tuned Beats headsets3, the Beats Audio™ profile will optimize the sound to your specific headset. I am definitely enjoying the sound more with the Beats Audio™ on my windows phone.
