Wrapping Up The International Delight #IcedCoffee Challenge…WOW!

It’s been a month since I started drinking International Delight Iced Coffee to see:
A) How much I liked it….LOVED IT, more than the coffee house iced coffee.
and
B)How much I could save….A TON! OMGEEEE!!! I can not believe how much I have saved.

As I mentioned in previous posts I did have a one of a kind, so cool you are going to wish you had it, coffee tracker:

Aren’t you jealous! My uber cool Iced Coffee Tracker helped me keep up with how many 12 oz cups of International Delight Iced Coffee I drank per day. I wanted to know how much it would be 12 oz because an iced coffee at the coffee house is $3.79 (for 12 oz). I geeked out for a bit and made up this iced coffee calculations sheet:

Very geek chic I know! After my in depth calculations it came to be that one (12 oz) cup of International Delight iced coffee ran about $.79 each VS. coffee house iced coffee at $3.79. That’s a savings of $3.00 per glass. YES PLEASE!!! That is substantial in and of itself. I averaged about two cups a day, so over the 30 day period I did this challenge I drank about 60 cups of International Delight (between myself and other members of my family) which would total roughly $46.60. If that isn’t a bargain I don’t know what is. However I am not finished yet! If I got that same amount of iced coffee at the coffee house here it would have cost $226.80!!! A difference of $180.20!!!

I have been watching the little savings tracker in my sidebar and noted it is a little bit different from my calculations. So let me just say math was never my strong suit, so which is correct I do not know but whether it is my calculations or the little tracker it doesn’t matter, both are substantial. I loved using the little tracker and watch the number rise, rise and rise some more and realize that if I had went to the coffee house all those times I would have been spending a small fortune but thanks to International Delight I don’t have to worry about doing that anymore.

I am thrilled with my savings and because of them we have been able to do some extra things as a family that we might not have been able to do otherwise. With future savings (because there will be future savings) I fully plan on adding it to our surprise our kids trip fund for this fall. Money saving is so hard to do with prices of gas and so many other things on the rise, why not save money while enjoying a guilty pleasure. It’s the best of both worlds.

Don’t forget to keep up with all things International Delight by checking out their website, following them on twitter and liking them on facebook. It’s a great way to keep on top of the current happenings they have. Will you be trying the #IcedCoffee challenge and switch from coffee house iced coffee to International Delight Iced Coffee? If you do I would love to hear about your savings.
