I have 3 children and it’s always fun for us to head to the local waterpark or pack up and head out to some theme park. Unfortunately that can cost a pretty penny but I, as a parent, want my kids to have fun. So why not save and have fun! I don’t know about you but if I can get a discount on the event, attraction, dinner, or whatever we are looking to do I am game.
It’s not easy for us, a family of 5, to get into somewhere like theme parks or local attractions without paying a pretty penny. We have some fun things to do around here such as the Gulfarium, where we can watch marine life do tricks but it can easily cost $60.00 for a day there. If we didn’t buy season passes to the local waterpark it would be around $200 for the day. If we were here vacationing it would not be one of the high priority fun things. Luckily for us, we get seasons passes that pay for themselves in about 2 visits. While we see vacationing families here all the time I know they are paying full price because there really are no discounts on day tickets.
Who knew fun could be so expensive? Heck even vacationing alone can get costly. I went to Vegas a few years ago and decided I wanted to mingle with my favorite wax celebs by visiting Madam Tussaud’s wax museum. I, unfortunately, did not realize I didn’t have to pay full price and that there were savings sites out there. While it may only be a few dollars off that’s still a few dollars left in my pocket. I learned my lesson and now try to find discounts when possible.
I am quickly realizing how many discount sites there are out there. Chances are, if you look around, most (not all) places have some sort of discount somewhere that you can find. Whether you are getting money off with SmartSave or looking into a local discount there is definitely reason to search. Saving money is essential to having more fun and vacations in the future so why not make sure you are doing just that by finding discounts available. What are some tips you have to saving money on attractions?
