During the summer, when staying local, I like to stick to my small Louis Vuitton bag. I am pretty on the go, so I need to keep the essentials with me, but they have to fit in my smaller bag. For some reason, in summer I feel like I need to carry a smaller handbag, I guess because days at the beach entail a huge beach bag so I don’t need a big tote on top of that. It can be a little tricky downsizing, but I found I tend to carry around just what I need in summer, and not a bunch of extra stuff.
What’s In My Bag
For summer here is what you can typically find in my bag:
- My vera bradley wallet. I love this wallet because it has enough slots for all the essentials I need, plus a cash area.
- Pens ‘o Plenty. I love pens, so I usually have way to many in my big bags, but I still make sure to keep my favorites in my small bag
- iPhone 6 plus. Essentially my life. It has all my calendars, appointments, emails, contacts…and while big, it still fits perfectly in my bag.
- Stride Gum. Because you never know when you’ll need to freshen your breath!
- Goody Brush. Beach days can leave you with a tangled mess…keeping a brush in my bag makes sure I have beautiful locks all day!
- Lip products. I usually have a vast array of lip product in my bag. Pictured here are some of my favorites from Nivea and e.l.f.
- Tampax Pocket Pearl They may be small, but they offer full size protection!

The Tampax pocket pearls are a great product to make sure to have in my summer handbag. I have a lot of the items that you have in your handbag. I sure can not go anywhere without my hair brush and comb. I also must have pens, gum, and my wallet!
