What Not To Do/Say To Someone Who Is Dieting! #Shaklee180 #ShakleeBlogger

ShakleeThis is a sponsored post as part of the Shaklee Corporation blogger program.  I have received free products, online support and incentives for participating in the ShakleeCorporation blogger program. My opinions are my own.  People following the weight-loss portion of the Shaklee 180™ Program can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.

We wrapped up Month 5 and my written post was all about supporting someone on their weight loss journey. In sticking with that theme, my vlog is all about what not to do/say to someone who is dieting or on a weight loss journey.

It’s hard enough to push yourself to lose weight and follow “rules” but if you add those things mentioned in the vlog it’s going to be much harder and could make the person give up. I don’t know about you but I would rather intentionally encourage than unintentionally discourage someone trying to better their life.

We are heading into the sixth and final month, and I hope that I will have lost some inches and weight. My body seems to be on a plateau…I’ve added more activity, been more strict on my diet. The only thing I can think of, is I am not eating enough calories since I upped my activity. I am going to try adding a little more healthy calories into my last month as a Shaklee Ambassador and hope that has some positive results.

See you all in about a month! What are some things you think people could refrain from doing/saying to someone who is on a weight loss journey?

My favorite is teh person who tells you that you could lose a little more weight in your butt but your doing a good job. I just don’t know what to say when I hear that. Like I can spot lose weight on my butt. SOme people just don’t think before they insert their foot in their mouth

I totally agree with everything you said in your vlog!

I really hate it when someone says, “You look so much better.” That makes me feel terrible, that I didn’t look good enough before. Ugh.

  5. 5

    You’ve done a great job!

Toni you look fabulous!!! One of the most irritating things people said to me after I lost weight was how skinny and that I better not lose anymore weight. It was insulting.

  7. 7

I always hate when people go on and on and on and ON about my loss. Yes, I want it to be noticed but I don’t want it to become embarrassing!

  8. 8

I hate when people tell me its okay to cheat when I’m on my diet. I’d rather they encourage me to keep going and stay strong.

I myself have been guilty of asking many skinny women what they eat. Even sometimes if they do eat. I know that’s horrible but it’s just my jealous way of trying to get my own self control from learning their tips. It’s so hard to stick to it so congrats to you!!

I agree about not offering dieters things that are not on their diet.

Loved your video. I agree with all of your points. Losing weight is hard and everyone just needs support.
