Tonight is the twitter party over at Military Moms place for the new awesome site launching, Flash IN A Pan. I am crossing my fingers to win the grand prize of a personal chef for one night..not for me but for my mom. To enter to win you have to tell why it will have an impact on your life.
As to how a chef would impact my life…it would bring me joy because I will be paying it forward to my mom. She just finished chemo a few weeks ago and is in the middle of her radiation treatment now. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and it was such a shock. This woman who is a pastor of a church and who never stops to take care of herself had to stop and focus on herself in a terrible situation. She is a mom, wife, sister, friend and always puts everyone ahead of herself. This would make her for one moment have the world revolve around her, to be taken care of and know what it’s like to have someone cook dinner for her. As a mom of 3 children, a pastor of a church it’s hard to take a moment and put yourself first so while this may not be much in life’s grand scheme of things, this is something I think she deserves and I want to win on her behalf. She is so untechnical and doesn’t even know what twitter is LOL. And even if she did she would probably be entering for someone else so this would make an impact on her because I know she would be so grateful to have someone cook for her even if just one night. As for who she would invite, she may kick the kids out and have a romantic dinner with her loving husband 🙂
So here’s to hoping I win this wonderful gift to giveaway to my mom who deserves this so very much.
