Watch Me Save In The International Delight #IcedCoffee Challenge #CBias

Those who know me know I love coffee.  Hot coffee, #icedcoffee, as long as it’s flavored I love it. Once summer hits it’s pretty much always iced coffee for me because here in the sunshine state it’s a little to hot outside to be drinking hot coffee.  It wasn’t until recently that I realized  I was being robbed, by my local coffee house.  Yes folks it’s true my money was being stolen….

I thought all along I was getting a great value.  Getting an iced coffee most days during the week was a treat.  Afterall, there really isn’t much you can treat yourself to that’s less than 4 dollars.  I enjoyed my little $3.79 treat about an average of 4 days a week.  It’s definitely cheaper than getting your hair or nails done that many times and this mom needs a little escape even if that escape is iced coffee.  As I continued to enjoy iced coffee, I was introduced to a new product called International Delight Iced Coffee.   I realized not only was I not getting the best tasting iced coffee but I was being robbed!  I filed the charges and took into custody the one taking all my money, the Iced Caramel Macchiato:

Over the next month you will get to learn all about my savings through the savings widget on my sidebar, as well as my thoughts on International Delight’s Iced Coffee.  I am wondering really how much I will save in a month.  I know that one  International Delight Iced Coffee (a half gallon) is just a few cents more than a tall, 12 oz., iced caramel machiatto.  I am sure the savings will be substantial.  Each time I drink a tall International Delight’s Iced Coffee I am going to mark it on my “Iced Coffee Tracker”.  Throughout the month of April I will see just how much I save by switching to International Delight’s Iced Coffee.

I will be using the coffee shop cup (or measure out 12 oz.)  so I know I am getting exactly as much as I would there and then marking each time I fill up my cup.  This could turn embarrassing when I sees how much iced coffee I really drink.  I will also be a excited to see how much savings I accumulate.  I am setting a savings goal of adding to my family’s fall trip fund and if my calculations (in my head) are any indicator of what is coming with the International Delight Iced Coffee savings I may very well have a nice little chunk.  If I go to my coffee shop four times a week at $3.79 a coffee that’s $15.16 at the very least and some weeks may or may not have had more visits that that, I must plead the fifth on that.  I am looking forward to sipping on Vanilla and Mocha which I already know I love and trying the Coffee flavor.  Let the challenge begin!

Don’t forget to keep checking in here through the month of April to see how much money I have saved by switching from coffee house iced coffee to International Delight Iced Coffee. Fun! I could not agree more. The new flavors sound awesome and are so much better than paying an arm and a leg at big chains.
