With summer here, we spend a lot of time on the go, but on the go can get expensive if you are eating out. As a family who lives close to the beach, we love to head out early and stay til a few hours after lunch. While we live close enough to go home and eat, we don’t want to risk is losing that prime spot on the sand that is hard to come by. So, in order to keep our area we usually pack up healthy chicken snacks, fruits, and/or sandwiches with goodies from Sams Club to take with us.
It could be anything from fruit to sandwiches, but our current packable snack for the beach (or one when we want a quick and tasty treat at home) are the Tyson Chicken fries with Buffalo Ranch. It’s such a quick chicken snack, with a tasty sauce, that my kids can eat it as we head out the door (for later beach days) or while at the beach (on days we go early).
Gathering the cast of characters (as Pioneer Woman says) is super simple. I can’t stress enough how I love simple during summer. So when the lunch we are having only requires three ingredients (or four if you add a side) I am in cooking heaven!
All I do is cook the chicken fries per the package instructions. I usually go with the oven instructions, because they are more crispy. However, patiences is not a virtue my kids possess all the time and sometimes want the food the moment they ask for it. For those times I am glad these can be cooked in the microwave. While they are cooking I pour the ranch and buffalo wing sauce on the plate (or container if we are taking this to go) and add a touch of love…
I stir it together and voila…a tasty dipping sauce for the chicken fries. It’s perfect for my kids who love to each buffalo wings, and then I don’t have to deal with the mess! A tip is to start with a just few drops of buffalo sauce to your ranch to gauge spiciness. Each of my children like it different, so they get their own little saucer with dip. The Tyson Chicken Fries are perfectly complimented with the buffalo ranch sauce.

- Favorite Ranch Dressing
- Buffalo Wing Sauce
Pour ranch into saucer/container, slowly add Buffalo sauce until desired spiciness is achieved! Super simple and so very tasty.
After eating at home, or on the beach, these kids are ready for more water action. Thanks to Tyson Chicken Fries we get that in a jiffy and it’s tasty. We aren’t sacrificing taste to get something quick and my pocket book is much more happy with the price compared to eating out. They get the energy they need and a taste they love…then it’s back to business….

Oh that sauce looks so good! We love these Chicken Fries from Tyson. I’ll have to make some of this sauce the next time we have them.
