Over the weekend, my family headed to Gulfport Mississippi for a road trip to watch my oldest and his team play in a soccer tournament. What better company to have than Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Road Chip to have the ultimate Road Chip adventure. Or at least some ultimate fun! In addition to the movie, we were provided with Road Chip packs that included an adorable Alvin plush, a luggage tag, ear buds, a road chip sign and the drawstring bag (to put snacks and road trip supplies in of course). We were ready to go.
While we were there, time for photo ops was not great due to weather and focusing on soccer games, so we decided to have a little fun with Alvin on the way home and show some of the things we see on the drive from Mississippi back home to sunshiney Florida!
We loved the sign that had Alvin’s brother Theodor on it and had it not been on the interstate we totally would have stopped to take a photo, but safety first and all. We love the skyline in Mobile, Alabama and the tunnel is always a hit with kids and chipmunks alike!
Alvin was having a blast with his friend, my daughter as we passed the state line and stopped in the Florida Welcome center. No worries, Alvin stayed out of trouble unlike his last trip to Florida in The Road Chip, but at least he was causing trouble for a good reason in the end! He and my daughter had a blast taking photos all around the welcome center! They even got one of the our sons in a photo op!
All in all, Alvin joining us on our trip to Gulfport and back home to Florida made it fun for the kids, and trust me car rides with kids you need all the fun you can get. Of course we geared up for our trip with the movie Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Road Chip and it will be a repeated movie in our home and on the road for months to come!
