Christmas Gift Ideas For Those Who Love To Cook!

Gift Ideas For The Cook

I love to be in my kitchen, in fact I have a counter full of inspiration thanks to the cookbooks I have received over the years. I know, being someone who loves to be in the kitchen, I love to be inspired and try new things. I don’t always like coming up with new recipes, sometimes I just want to try someone else’s. Thish is why cookbooks make a perfect gift for those, like me, who love to be in the kitchen. Today, I wanted to share with you some of the recent ones that have been added to my collection that would make a perfect gift (or gifts) to the one who loves to cook in your life.

Baking You Happy

Food sensitivites and allergies are a very real issue in today’s society. Baking you Happy is here to help. The gluten-free recipes (over 50 of them) featured in this cookbook are sure to curb that sweet tooth craving. Not only are the recipes gluten-free but they are 100% vegan (without animal products), free of soy, peanuts, refined sugar, corn, and artificial ingredients. Taking out certain products doesn’t mean the desserts are going to be tasteless and this cookbook will prove exactly that.

This will make you think you have immersed yourself into an Italian grandmothers kitchen, when you take on the recipes in Italian Kitchen. Included in the book are simple starters like tomato bruschetta; timeless pasta sauces, including pesto and Bolognese; distinctive risottos; and delectable desserts, such as Chocolate and Pear Cake. You will find simple recipes and recipes that are time consuming, but they are all wonderful! I have tried several but look forward to making it through this whole book.

Jamie Deen’s Good Food

I actually had the chance to sit down and chat with Jamie Deen earlier this year, when he released his “Jamie Deen’s Good Food” cookbook. A true southern gentlemen his cookbook reflects his southern roots to a T. Featuring over 125 tried and true recipes, that are broken down into categories, you are going to want to try out all the recipes in this book. What’s super neat about this book, that my kids loved, is if you flip it over you are treated to Jamie’s son Jack’s favorite recipes. This is a great way to get kids wanting to cook with you, let them see kid tested and approved recipes.

Irish Country Cooking

This is one my husband loves. Given that is has some tried and true Irish recipes, though not all of them are, it was a hit. I will admit, this one threw me off at first, because the measurements in it are not the normal cup and teaspoon. Once I got past that little learning curve I had a blast creating some of the meals in this and look forward to creating more of them. With recipes for salmon, curry, fruit scones and more, this is a great addition to your cookbook collection.

These cookbooks will be a great gift idea for the cook in your life, and with Christmas right around the corner what better time to give them.
