Slime making is all the rage. If you scour the web, you can find a gazillion slime recipes. Recipes like slime with beads, mardi gras slime, glitter slime, rainbow slime, seriously the slime recipe list could go on and on. However, to really make a great slime recipe you have to have the right products on hand. Thanks to having a daughter who loves to create slime recipes, and has been doing it for over a year now, I am bringing you Bella’s Slime Recipe Must Haves.
These are the slime recipe must haves from Bella:
- Glue (gallon size is best. Otherwise you spend way more money to keep the small bottles in stock, trust me)
- Liquid Starch
- Contact Lens Solution
- Shaving Cream
- Food Coloring
- Cornstarch
My daughter’s favorite slime recipe to make is what she calls “fluffy slime” (recipe will be hitting the blog in the coming weeks) and it only uses glue, shaving cream, contact lens solution and food coloring. It’s probably the quickest and easiest of all the slimes she makes, so if you want to minimize what you have on hand, those four ingredients will do for all your slime making needs.
ReNu Fresh Multi-Purpose Contact Lens Solution, 8 fl. oz.(Pack of 2)
Bella’s Favorite Item: If you are planning to make slime then go with this contact lens solution. Bella loves to use the Renu contact lens solution. She has tried others and only one other has worked the way she wanted it to, so this contact lens solution is the best for your slime recipe.
Of course, if you want to get creative you can switch up the recipes. Some recipes call for the items listed above and some call for other items like borax and Styrofoam Balls. What’s great about making slime is the fact that it’s something that kids and parents, together, can get creative with. Keep it simple or go crazy, it’s up to the creator what they want to do. But you have to start with the right ingredients. So, search the web and find out what slime recipe you want to make, then grab those ingredients from Amazon and start creating!

I’ve ever made slime before. However after reading your sharing, I knew how to make it quickly and easily. So I will start this stuff with my family members, which may enhance our family bonding.
