Dear Stackable Washer/Dryer Combo and Regular Washer,
I was very disappointed when we moved into our house the way our laundry area is I could no longer use use my 15 year old stackable machine alone because of the setup. Â However all was well as we had a loaner washer from the 70’s that the person said we could keep. Â 70’s era machine oh how you make me cringe, when I sit in the farthest back room in the house away from you and I can hear you as if someone is banging a hammer in the same room I want to scream
If I get a one clothing item too many on one side you dance into the walkway while slamming into the walls, are you going to pay for the repairs from the damage you cause. Â A normal classy washing machine such as the Frigidaire Affinity Washer would do the wash without noise and without damage, this should be your role model. Â Your 70’s color of puke off white not very appealing. Â Why not get a stylist and update your look to something like that of the Kenmore Elite. Â Beauty and quiet is the perfect combination. Â All I ask is that you wash the clothes without damage to my walls. Â We must get with the times, you look is so outdated.
Oh dryer my darling, Â the one who should give me clothes fresh and fluffy more often than not, Â showers me when I swing the dryer door open. Â We are not going to go into a drought there is no need to save up water inside the door for later. Â Or are you trying to hint to me that everytime I open you it’s shower time for me and you help me out. Â The water splashing all over me is not quite the way to go about making your point.
I also must mentioned that I have a life, I can’t sit and wait the 8 (or more) hours you take to dry ONE load of laundry. Â In a family of five you have to be on the ball, when it takes me one full day to do one load of laundry something is wrong. Â We have tried cleaning you out, checking to make sure you don’t have a something in the big silver thing that sends the hot air out and to no avail. Have you decided that the normal hour it should take to wash clothes is beneath you. Â Slow and steady in this case does not win the race.
You really should take a lesson from the GE Profile and have shorter drying sessions, it is much better for the enviroment and my electric bill, if you did that I would never be behind in laundry and I may actually enjoy it. Â Or even the Whirlpool Duet. Â Look how beautiful they are and they don’t take 8 HOURS FOR ONE LOAD!!!
So you see my darling appliances you are hanging on your last leg and I know that you are just hanging on for me so that I don’t have to go to the laundromat everyday. Â If you would please send out ” Help our mommy” vibes to the companies out there that may be interested in a review or simply a “helping a mom keep her sanity” donation of a washer/dryer set, you can finally rest in peace in little Laundry appliance heaven. Â I know as frustrated I get with you, you are doing this all for me and I promise I try to not get angry (as much, but taking 8 hours is going to work my nerves so be warned).
I will miss you when you are gone but you can look down on me and see me happy with the new laundry appliances and you can smile knowing that I will finally be able to keep up with my laundry.
