On The Go With The Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Sprint

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

There’s been a new phone in my hand the last couple of weeks, and I am truly impressed with almost everything it has to offer. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 has been attached to my hand around the clock the past few weeks as I reviewed it. I’ll admit the main draw for me was the advertised camera it offered.

The Samsung Galaxy Note5 boasts a 16-megapixel, rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The rear-facing camera also offers autofocus, burst shot, 8x zoom, LED flash and panoramic photos. It also provides video, selective focus, live broadcast (through YouTube), slow motion, fast motion, virtual shot, and video collage. You can see an example of the collage here on my Instagram. As if that isn’t cool enough, the camera itself takes incredible photos. I didn’t edit these (aside from putting them in a collage) for the sole fact I wanted you to see what the capabilities of the camera are:

They’re even more beautiful when they are normal size. Of course photo and video aren’t all the Samsung Galaxy Note5 offers. Because Samsung is all about productivity, the phone features an S-pen that makes it easy to write, capture notes, or draw on the 5.7-inch screen. We haven’t been too productive with it, yet, but we have been having fun!

You can even “cut” out a shot of the screen or for more productivity split the screen between two apps:

Now that I have rattled on about how much I love the Samsung Galaxy Note5 and a few of the things it offers, I am sure you want to know the cost of the phone and Sprint service. For the Galaxy Note5 you can choose between a 32GB or a 64GB and pricing is as follows:

So, once you’ve decided on which storage option, next is figuring out which Sprint plan works for you. With the Sprint Starter Unlimited Data plan, you can choose a 1GB high-speed data for $20 per month and then get unlimited data at 2G speeds until the end of that billing cycle. Get unlimited talk and text for $20 per month while on the Sprint network with Sprint Global Roaming. Of course if you are a family, like us, you may want to look into the family share pack. You get four lines with unlimited text and talk and 40GB of high-speed data to share for $120 per month (no prices listed include tax or surcharges). So, you can see Sprint is pretty affordable if you are looking for a great way to stay connected on the go without breaking the bank! Oh and one thing to note is when you purchase and activate the Samsung Galaxy Note5 (by November 30) you get a free year of Amazon Prime!!! That’s a $99 value!

There were just a couple of things I didn’t like. First it didn’t easily sync with my iMac computer. So getting photos to my computer is a bit of a hassle, but otherwise this phone is amazing. Second, the Sprint service itself is hit and miss for my area. Sometimes it works great and other times it seems to hate me and not want me to connect. I can be on it all day long in certain areas but when I go 20 minutes away to Ft. Walton Beach the service did not work at all.

Aside from those two issues I do really like the phone, and you can’t beat the price for Sprint’s service (see above for prices). Both of these make a great gift idea to give this holiday season! What do you think your favorite feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note5 would be?
