NKOTB concert details, OMG it was better now than when I was young

My husband said he would even be seen with me in the blue shirt, he isn’t so keen in being seen with me if I am wearing my “Property of Jon Knight” shirt though. I will have to work him on that idea. I have about 50 video clips that I have to upload still so those will come at a later date.

My son and I arrived about 7 and the NKOTB concert started at 8. We got my shirts and stuff, found our seats, got snacks and came back to our seat. The show started with a girl I have never heard of..Tammy something who must be new to the music scene or I have just never heard of her. She was rather good and she was from Jamaica.

She of course was followed by Natasha Bedingfield who sang a few of her hits such as… Unwritten, Angel, Pocketful of Sunshine along with several others. I enjoyed her very much. When she went off there was a 15 minute gap and of course we used it for a restroom break because I was not leaving for even a second when NKOTB came out.

Finally after the 15 minute torture of waiting intermission, the lights went out and I turned on my camera as I wielded the highest pitched screamed of my adult life. For the first 5 minutes you watch a video on the big screen of a little history and the whole time in my second video clip I am going “Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod”. Finally after NKOTB flashes up on the big screen they are raised up and I am so beside myself at this point the next video clip well let’s just say if you get motion sickness when I put it up you may want to stay away from that one. I was shaking so bad from being so excited I could not hold the camera still for anything.

They rose into view from behind the stage and the moment my eyes laid on them in combination with hearing “Single” being belted out I busted into tears got a wee bit emotional. Oh lordy lord I thought they were good looking when I was a youngster well they had nothing on themselves back then, they are just HOT now! Oh man time has definitely turned these boys into men, and some of the best looking men in my opinion at that.

Danny did a break dancing bit during one of the songs and it was awesome…oh and I got to see him run down from the stage (their entry/exit area was close to where I was sitting) and his body is nothing to joke about. I don’t know if that boy drinks milk but something has done his body good. I guess he works out a lot but boy oh boy it looks good on him.

Donnie still looks like Donnie except he is a “Grown Man” and a good looking one at that. He can still belt out “Cover Girl” like nothing else. He was the one who did most of the talking to the audience during the concert, followed closely by Joey. He was very entertaining and pulled his pants down and shook his butt for us. Now I know what you are thinking and yes he did have his boxers or some equivalent on.

Joey cracked me up when he would talk, his boston accent is killer. He sounded more like a man when he sang LOL. I must say him singing “Please Don’t Go Girl” as a man is much better than when he was a boy, he has definitely grown into that song, though I will admit I love it all the same.

Jordan is competing with Danny in the hot body category. During “Baby I Believe in You,” he struck a Michael Jackson-worthy pose, with a mega-watt wind machine threatening to blow the unbuttoned shirt off Knight’s back. Oh those abs. The screams of the audience were dangerously close to defeaning. He can still sing “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever)” like nothing else. That is when they came out in white suits and had the stage had theatrical fog floating along their feet. It was amazing.

Last but definitely not least…Jon!!!!!!!!!! My heart would race everytime he would come to the side of the stage that I was sitting closest too. Jon is the one who is more prone to being in the background but oh how he was forefront to me. I managed to get a smile out of him at one point. The crowd was on one of the few quieter moment and me being the have no shame person that I am belted out as loud as I could “I love you JON!!!!!!!” and at that time he turned toward me and grinned. Now whether he was looking at me directly or just in my general direction I do not know so i will go with the first! Several other times I noticed him seeming to look at me (again this could be just hope but I will go with he was). So even if he wasn’t looking directly at me the fact that he could have been was enough to keep me pleased!

Even all grown up they still had the dance moves from back in the day. Their signature dance from back in the day was still just as amazing now when they sang “You’ve Got It(The Right Stuff)”. After the last song “Summertime” and the stage when dark, the crowd cheered and cheered until they came back out for one of 2 encores. The first was “Step By Step”. I knew when they went off they would come back b/c they hadn’t sung that song yet. After they sang it and I was sure it was over because they had left the stage the big screen doated a new sign that said ‘It’s the 4th quarter, get loud’. Then they came out all decked in basketball shirts and sang the historical “Hangin Tough” with a bit of We will Rock you intertwined.

The concert was absolutely amazing! I was so sad for it to end but even more sad that I could not find their bus to stow away on. If I could get them all to marry me I may just decide I am okay with the world of polygamy (okay bad joke I know). I used to only crush on Jon (who still has number 1 spot in my heart) but now I have decided they all deserve to be crushed on by me so I am offically saying I have a huge crush on all the members of NKOTB! I highly higly suggest going to their concert if they come near you. It’s something you will enjoy and if I could afford it I would go to all the ones that are within a few hours of me.
