Netflix Is Your Halloween Movie Headquarters! #StreamTeam

Stream team Disclosure

I am thrilled to be part of this years Netflix Stream team. Each month I will be chatting all about the fun movies you can find on Netflix and lots of other goodies. Being that we are a movie loving family, we have used Netflix for years. I love having movies readily available for one low monthly price and being able to take those movies on the go is an added bonus! Today I want to share with you why Netflix is Your Halloween Movie Headquarters!

Halloween Movies on Netflix

All things scary are creeping about through the month of October.  Ghosts and ghouls are haunting the towns…well at least on Halloween night when little ones will dress up as all sorts of fun and creepy creatures.  Through the month of October I love to watch Halloween themed movies.  Whether it’s a family fun movie with a Halloween theme or a scary movie that has me hiding under my covers.  Thankfully Netflix has got me covered!  Check out some of our favorite Halloween movies.!

For the family (I am so ready for these movies):
Kids Halloween Movies
Nightmare Before Christmas, Curious George: A Halloween Boofest, Vampire Dog, Fred 2: Night Of The Living Fred, and Spooky Buddies are great picks to watch together as a family. With something for the littlest of the bunch to something older kids and adults can enjoy, this is a great list for family movie night!

Adults and Teens (Getting a little leary! I’ll likely cover my eyes and plug my ears):
Teen and adult halloween movies
Elvira: Mistress Of The Dark, The Craft, Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 3 are sure to keep you entertained and maybe even on the edge of your seat. These are great picks for families with older children, who do okay with some scariness. Trust me, I am a big baby, so if I can do it, chances are anyone who is 17 or older can too!

For the ones who aren’t chicken at all (I will be in my room happily watching Gossip Girl at this point):
Horror Movies
If you are a horror buff, then you may want to check out American Horror Story, Amityville Haunting, Scary or Die, Insidious 2, and The Possesion. I’ll be quite honest, you will not find me watching these (see the big baby statement above). I tried to watch American Horror Story on FX, but after one episode I was thisclose to calling my mom to see if I could come sleep in her bed! These movies are not for the faint of heart, but for those who really love a good scare!

I love that Netflix offers such a range of movies to fit all families. Whether you are looking to have a whole family movie night with something more tame or an adults only night (minus me) with the super gory and scary, the possibilities are pretty close to endless. So, what are you waiting for, have that fun Halloween movie night! What are some of your favorite Halloween movies??
