As you may recall a few weeks ago I mentioned I was going to be on the news. Â The local news was doing a segment on little ole’ me! Â I was worried about looking like a HUGE DORK, well thank heavens for editing! Â I actually looked pulled together and not near as nervous as I feared! Â The news team made me look good and sometimes that can be a big task. Â Come on we know how all over the place my little brain is, however KNWA Today made me look sane. Â A big task to take and they passed with flying colors, huge kisses to the team there for that.
The interview consisted of Tom Yazwinski coming over to my house with camera in tow. Â Let me stop to interject…HOLY CLEANING BATMAN, I don’t think I had ever cleaned my house so fast in my life. Â After sending my husband off with Baby B (trying to do an interview with my sweet angel here would have been well pointless, or the interview would have been all about Bella), I got myself ready and waited for Tom to arrive. Â We talked for a bit and then he video’d lots of different shots. Â I was a bit on the dingy side due to the benadryl but sort of kept it together. Â Nerves not in check, I just knew the interview was going to turn out horrible. Â Loopy and an Italian who uses her hands to talk (even more so when she is nervous) I was actually dreading seeing the segment.
Okay, okay I was a little excited to be a local celebrity after all it does lead to national celebrity status right? Â Well that’s what we hope anyways. Â Back to the story..the reason they wanted to interview me is because they heard about myself being in the 2011 Hot Blogger Calendar (which had the truckers/bus drivers at Bon Jovi asking for pictures with me, that made me giggle). A calendar that features bloggers from all over and goes to benefit a charity, this one’s proceeds go to benefit the American Red Cross. Â As the interview went on (which I made through without tinkling my pants or having a panic attack, big sigh of relief) he did some screenshots of all the things I have pulled up on my screen so some of you may have made it into the story. Â Or at least your picture did!
After finding out this was the week my segment was going to air and I was going to shoot into stardom, I also got mentioned as the Blog of the Week on Something To Blog About (the news blog). Â I am telling you, my name in bright lights is just a few interviews away! Â Giddy and a little nervous this morning as Tom’s Tales came on I wasn’t sure whether to cover my eyes and let my husband watch it first or suck it up and just watch. Â Well the later is what I did, all while holding my breath waiting for that one moment I look like a big dork. Â GUESS WHAT? Â I didn’t look like a huge dork (even with the hand usage) I actually looked semi normal. Â We won’t push the full normal package here because even on my 100% great days we all know I am a bit on the nutty side.
I was so excited on how the segment turned out, it highlighted what I thought was important in blogging (community and friends) as well as talked about my upcoming venture to NYC for the Hot Blogger Calendar. Â I just figure this was great for a first time news interview and was very happy with the way it came out. Â See me in action on Toni Patton’s Tale (hopefully the link works, I was having a bit of trouble earlier)Â over at KNWA. Â Then let me know what you thought here in the comments. Â Well only if you thought I did okay (just kidding). Â I had a blast doing the segment and hope there is much more of them in my future! Â What can I say, we all know from my videos here I love to be on camera! Â I will be uploading the video I took of the television while it was on as well.

Â I knew I was meant to be a celebrity who knew it would turn out being a weblebrity and a local celebrity (shh just play along and pretend with me). Â Next up national celebrity status, we will figure out how to get there.
