As a Christian, sometimes it is hard to stand firm. Whether it because you have friends that don’t understand your beliefs or because daily life may bring battles that make you want to give up, the one that that is important in all aspects of life is to stand strong. Don’t let your circumstances, the people around you, the ones who try to tear you down or your own insecurities move you. You know what you can accomplish, the dreams you have were placed there for a reason.
The main thing you can do for yourself and to be an example to your friends and especially your children and family is to hold onto your faith and not give up. At times we fall, there is no question about it, but that is why we have to hold fast to our faith and know that despite the times we stumble or fall, in the end we will not be moved. It doesn’t mean living a perfect life and never messing up, but rather learning from our mistakes so that we can move on and move forward.
The song below “I Will Not Be Moved” by Natalie Grant is a song that every single day I start my day with. It has a strong message and one that I can almost assuredly say will speak to quite a bit of people for many different circumstances. Whether it is your faith, your job, your parenting, your marriage, there is always something in every situation in our lives that we would like to do better and there are times we mess up and want to just give up. And that is precisely when we need to dig deep, pray and thank God for what we have and for giving us the strength to get through whatever circumstance we are facing and stating (I actually do it outloud, cheesy I know) “I Will Not Be Moved”.
A powerful phrase that will make you get through even the toughest of circumstances and hardships. Here is the video and below that are the lyrics, like I said I listen to this song daily and remind myself that I will not be moved and giving up when I feel like it is not an option.
I have acted out,
I have questioned sovereignty,
and had my share of doubts,
And though sometimes,
my prayers feel like their bouncing off the sky,
the hand that holds won’t let me go,
and is the reason why
I will stumble, I will fall down
But I will not be moved
I will make mistakes, I will face heartache,
But I will not be moved
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand,
I will not be moved
Bitterness has plagued my heart,
many times before,
My life has been a broken glass,
and I have kept the score,
of all my shattered dreams,
and though it seemed,
that I was far too gone,
my brokenness helped me to see,
it’s grace I’m standing on.
I will stumble, I will fall down
But I will not be moved
I will make mistakes, I will face heartache,
But I will not be moved
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand,
I will not be moved
And chaos in my life,
has been a badge I’ve worn,
and though I have been torn,
I will not be moved
I will make mistakes, I will face heartache,
But i will not be moved
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
all other ground is sinking sand,
I will not be moved
Have a great Monday and don’t let anyone or any circumstance move you!!

I love Natalie Grant and this is one of my favorite songs she sings! We work with the youth at our church and the message tonight was about being wiling to take risks.. dare to be different.. and stand firm on the things you believe in.. no matter what the risk.
