Happy Birthday Month To e.l.f. And Myself

It’s July which means there are a lot of birthday going ons for us. My mom, my sister and I all have birthdays throughout the month of July. I made it, barely, coming in on the very last day of the month. However we are not the only ones celebrating our birthdays so is e.l.f makeup and when they celebrate they let you have a little fun. Right now they have an amazing e.l.f. birthday makeup sale going on.

With all us ladies here having birthdays in July this makes the perfect time to buy some presents for others….or myself. I admit it, I LOVE makeup. I have way too much of it and quite a few pieces are e.l.f. brand. I figure what’s a little more to the collection and it’s on sale right, so the hubby can love that I am saving money getting the stuff I already love, like a new stipple brush.

I first learned about stippling when I watched a makeup artist and have fallen in love with using that technique when I want an airbrushed look. The coverage you get when you use a stipple brush is complete but not overbearing. When I want this look I prefer a foam foundation because it’s not too thick and goes on smooth giving you that airbrushed look without having to pay lots of $$$ to get it.

I follow with a loose powder (after all you don’t want to mess up that airbrushed look by using a powder you have to smooth out with a powder press. Get yourself a big powder brush so you can apply loose powder without messing up the look you just created. The power sets the foundation in place so you can finish your look.

When I want to go simple I will add just a touch of gloss, eyeliner and/or mascara and out the door I can go. I feel and look fresh but not like I have caked on makeup.
