My Dearest Brent,
Today we celebrate ten years of marriage. I could not have asked for a better man with whom I get to spend my life with. We’ve made it through so much during our first ten years together that, I have no doubt, the rest of our lives will be a breeze. When I prayed (years ago) for God to bring me the man who was the one he had planned for me I did not, in my wildest dreams, believe he would have found someone so perfect. I have been blessed beyond words to have you as a husband.
It took me a lot of wrong guys to finally find the right one. I can honestly say I know what winning the lottery feels like because I truly hit the jackpot with you. You are so much more than I ever thought to ask for or ever thought I deserved. Before you, I settled. Before you, I was okay with mediocre. Before you, I didn’t know what it meant to be loved.
I am so thankful to have a husband who trusts God in everything, who lives his life for God. You encourage me to follow my dreams. You are strong when my strength is failing me. You hold me when times are tough. You wipe away my tears and comfort me when I need it. You make me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, even when I have a hard time seeing that for myself. You make sure our family’s needs are met. You are a wonderful father to our children.
You push me to soar! You make me rest when I push myself too hard….or try at least (I can be a bit stubborn). When I am afraid of taking a giant leap, you hold my hand and guide me, so I land safely. You put up with my craziness and sometimes that’s no easy task. You love me like I had never been loved before.
I will never be able to adequately express just how much you mean to me. I don’t think they have invented an actual word for how much I love you yet. I only hope, for the rest of our lives, you will always know just how much you mean to me, how deeply in love with you I am, and how lucky I feel to have you as my husband. Happy 10th anniversary my love…without you, I would not be complete.
