Fresh Express Steps Ahead in the Game of Freshness: Win Salad for A Year (4/23)

As someone who is trying to get in shape for summer I am starting to eat more fresh foods, one of the main staples in my diet is salad.  With lettuce just like any other fresh fruit or veggie, I want to make sure I am getting the freshest possible.  Thanks to Fresh Express’ Salad Story site, I can see precisely how fresh my lettuce is.  I have always loved Fresh Express for all my salads simply because the bagged salad makes my salad making much simpler.  Though before I wasn’t sure how long it had been on the shelf from the time it had been harvested thanks to Fresh Express that has all changed.

A little about Fresh Express (taken from the press release and fact sheets provided):

Now in 2010 they have launched their Fresh Express Your Salad story site as a way to really see the freshness you are getting. The site also introduces the faces behind the freshness, allowing consumers to learn more about the experts at Fresh Express, including the:

*Temperature Specialist

*Transportation Professional

How the Leaf Locator works:
1.   Go to www.FreshExpress.com/salad
2.  Click on “Leaf Locator” at the bottom of the page
3.  Enter the ID codes from your bag as described on the site (or see demo without ID codes)
4.  See where the leafy greens in your bag of salad were grown and much more*
(* Currently not available for Organic salads and cole slaw)
