5 Things I Love…Well, A Few More Than 5! #DunkinMugUp

This month for Dunkin Donuts Mug-Up contest they want to hear all about what you love, so the task to complete was sharing 5 things you love. Afterall, this is the month of love.  I, however, could list in an instant a thousand things I love…so I went a little over the five…though I’ll spare you (and my fingers) listing 1000.

So, here are the 5…well 8, things I love…I’ll do more posts down the road featuring some of the other things I love.

1) God, My Saviour.  I am a christian and strive to live my life in such a way that others can see the love of Christ through me.  I would not be able to live that way, though, if I didn’t have God in my life.  He is my strong tower and has gotten me through so much.  My faith is a BIG part of my life and without it I would be lost. While I may not fit in with every crowd, that’s okay.  I live my life to serve Christ and do the things he has called me too.  I hope each person that comes into my life can experience His love through my actions.

2) My family.  My husband and my kids are my priority.  I am so thankful God chose to give them to me.  My extended family are my biggest cheerleaders and I am so grateful for all they have done.   We are a little bit crazy, a lot of fun, and full of love.  I could not have asked for a better family to be born into and a better family to marry into.  I truly hit the jackpot!

3) Great friends.  I have been burned quite a few times, so I tend to keep my guard up.  However, there are times people come into your life and break through that guard and I am so thankful for those people .  The ones who valued you and your friendship enough to not take advantage and to give back what you put in. The friends you can laugh with, make a fool of yourself with.  I have a small group of those kind of friends and I love each of them!

4) Ballet.  I started dancing with I was 5 years old…which means this birthday will make it 30 years since I put on those first pair of ballet shoes (the ones in the photo all taped up).  This year I will be dancing in my 15th recital in the pointe shoes you see in the photo.  I have loved danced from the minute I stepped foot into the studio.  It’s a huge part of who I am and I still use it, to this day, as the worship dance leader at our church.

5) Where I live.  Seriously, who could not love the beauty of the beaches were I leave.  Serene and relaxing…nothing more need be said about why I love where I live.

6) All things to do with fashion and beauty.  It’s true…I love makeup (maybe a little too much, as you can see in the photo) and anything to do with fashion (purses, shoes, clothes…you name it).   All those things are such a fun way to express yourself and I LOVE to express myself!  They make life a little more fun.

7)  Thrill Rides.  My heart gets to pumping and just the rush of adrenaline is so much fun. I LOVE thrill rides and could seriously ride them over and over.  My most recent (pretty terrifying, yet terrific) adventure was riding the world’s tallest skycoaster.  Give me fast, flippy, and high and I am game!

8) Coffee.  It’s a vice.  I love waking up in the morning when everyone is still sleeping and enjoying a hot (or cold, in the summer) cup of coffee while reading my bible.  I love to try all the different flavors and make my own concotions. Coffee is just one of those things, that is a simple addition to my day, but one that brings a smile to my face.

I hope by now you’re feeling the love. Show Dunkin’ Donuts your love for coffee by uploading a photo of you and the mug that you love here for a chance to win prizes in the Mug Up Contest.
