Sleep….what is sleep? It’s something that has evaded me the last several years, in other words I need some sleep solutions. Now, don’t get me wrong, I can sleep but not soundly. Growing up I was able to fall asleep so easy and stay asleep for 8 + hours. Even after child 1, I was able to do that, minus the times I woke up to nurse him. Child 2 came along and I went straight from nursing him to nursing child 3 (they are 22 months apart). That, in turn, had me waking up hourly, for a little over 4 years straight.
Once my daughter quit nursing I figured my body would adjust back to a normal sleep pattern, unfortunately, it had other plans. My nights consist of tossing and turning and really just not being able to fall asleep and waking up anywhere between 1 and 4 a.m. for the day. It’s not fun…at all! Unfortunately, due to a tight schedule while the kids are at school (we have split schedules) I never have time to make it up to my local Walgreen’s Pharmacy to get advice for OTC treatment that may help. Thankfully, there was a solution…Answers at Walgreens using the 24/7 online chat, where I got to get some suggestions.
To start I headed to Walgreens.com, be sure to check out any specials they might have when you hit that homepage! I headed to the pharmacy and health area (after logging into my account). Once there I chose which path I wanted to take. This time I had no account questions but needed some serious help for my sleep issues. I loved that I was able to chat with pharmacy staff in real time, so it worked for my schedule.

I was connected to Arezu who immediately asked how he (or she) could assist me. Lacking sleep for WAY too long, I asked if there was anything over the counter I could take. Arezu had to get a few more pieces of information from me, I love that they make sure they are informed before giving any advice on medication. Once he (or she) had the information they needed, they were able to suggest what I should try to help my sleepless nights or nights that have me waking anywhere between 1 and 4 a.m.

Not only did the pharmacist take the time to tell me what I could take, but they also made sure to answer my questions about potential side affects. They also mentioned another product I could use that has the same active ingredient. I loved having options to choose from because you never know if you will be able to save a little bit of money. After my chat, I headed to my local Walgreens to pick up what the pharmacist suggested in hopes my nights would soon be mine and full of sweet dreams again.

I even found a $0.50 off coupon for the brand the pharmacist recommended in the healthy sleep pamphlet, an added bonus! This mom is one tired mom with her irregular sleep habits, and I am looking forward to trying the product and seeing how it works for me. I love that Walgreens offers a 24/7 chat option for busy people like me. Sometimes we need answers and we can’t make it to the store, this online chat is the perfect way to get some solutions just like I did. The in-store pamphlets on sleep solutions (or whatever solution you are needing) have even more info that will definitely come in handy.

Ugh – I’m in need of a sleep solution myself. Insomnia is no fun.
This sounds so convenient, and I am glad you were able to find some help with your sleeping troubles.
I had no idea Walgreen offered this service!
I have sleep issues from time to time. Most of the time all I have to do is attempt to read a book……ZZzZzzZzzz. It used to be really bad when I was younger, though. I think it’s mostly an ADHD thing for me (I think TOO much at night), though. 🙂
Sleep really can be elusive, I need a lot more of it!
I had no idea they sold this at Walgreens. I will have to check this out.
Your title is what I was thinking but not because I can’t get to sleep but just because I have too much that must get done before I can go to sleep.
I haven’t been getting enough lately. I’ll have to check out their selection.
I don’t sleep either. I need to talk to them too!
Wow, I had no idea they offered this service. I am going to buy some of that Sleep Aid for Matt, he has been staying up all night lately.
Wow, I didn’t know they offered this type of service!
Sigh ….. what is this sleep you speak of????
would u believe i’ve never tried a sleep aid but maybe I’ will after realizing its after 2am and I’m still awake
Very interesting – I would wonder what “pretty much safe’ means though… I look forward to sleeping again one day!!
I did not know that they have a pharmacy chat. That is really good to know!
Sleep? I get zlich with my newborn who loves to sleep all day long and decides to stay up all night screaming and crying.
That is sooooo cool that you can talk to a pharmacist online! Very helpful.
I take magnesium for sleep. It really works!
This is super neat! I love that you can chat with someone who really knows what they are talking about before heading into the store. Definitely going to check this out the next time I need advice on over the counter meds!
I suffer from the opposite problem and am always tired. I’m convinced I would be way more productive if I didn’t require nearly as much sleep.
Sleep has been really difficult for me lately. I’ll definitely check out what Walgreens has to offer.
