We love our local Riptides. It’s one of our favorite places to go for a family dinner (or lunch) out. Located in the Holiday Inn Resort, this restaurant is full of beachy theme and delicious food. Recently we visited out local Riptides after taking an advantage of a great deal on Restaurant.com!
You can get many denominations of restaurant certificates, for eateries in your area, but what is really cool is the money you save. For us, being a family of five, it’s easy to know that it will cost us around $50 at Riptides. Thanks to the kids eat free (under 12), we get to enjoy good food at a great price. With Restaurant.com we can save even more. For $10 I get a $25 certificate to use on a $50 (or more) purchase. That’s essentially getting $15.00 of food free! I’d say that’s worth getting. Have a big party, go for the $100 off $200 for $40, that’s spending $60 less than you would without the certificate.
The menu at Riptides offers something for everyone. Whether you want delish cheesy fries, a big juicy burger, chicken wings, a wrap, salad, or seafood they have you covered. All of us were completely satisfied! Check out what we enjoyed while there.
Appetizers we tried
- Griddle Fries: Crispy fries tossed on the griddle with three cheeses & topped with bacon bits, jalapeños, sour cream & green onions
- Beer Cheese Soup: Homemade with dark amber beer and 3 cheeses
Dinner consisted of:
- Buffalo Tenders: 6 crispy tenders tossed in buffalo sauce. served with choice of side (we went with fries)
- Kim Joy’s Custom Burger: Grilled black angus beef burger with choice of 4 toppings.
- Chicken Wings: Choice of hot, medium, mild, bbq, honey bbq, teriyaki, sweet thai chili, lemon pepper, italian or cajun roasted garlic
Tell me you aren’t ready to jump in your car and head over to Riptides after seeing those photos. They even gave our kids the free kids ice cream that comes with the kids meal. There wasn’t one thing wrong with our meal and the service was great. Our server kept us laughing the entire night and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. If you are ever visiting the gulf coast, be sure to head over to Holiday Inn Resort and enjoy a meal at Riptides. Great food, awesome service, and an atmosphere that leaves you wanting to return before you’ve even left!
