Holiday Gift Guide: Read Riordan and Gift Books This Christmas

Rick Riordan Books

Christmas is right around the corner, and I have some great gift ideas for the Rick Riordan fan in your life. If you have kids like mine, they love everything, Rick Riordan. Right now we only have a few of the books, so they are usually left checking out what they want to read from their school library. Today, I wanted to share with you several of Rick Riordan’s books so you can add them to your gift list. Great for stocking stuffers, wrapped presents or even something from Santa.

Percy Jackson and the olympians

This series is what started it all. Percy Jackson and The Olympians is a great way to get your kids into “Reading Riordan“. Included in the series is five books:

  • Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief
  • The Sea of Monster’s
  • The Titans Curse
  • The Battle of the Labyrinth
  • The Last Olympian

Heroes of Olympus

Next up is The Heroes of Olympus series.  You will want to know what happens to Percy and friends, so why not put this under the tree!

Magnus Chase Book 1

I just recently finished reading Rick’s newest book “Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard” and like all his other books I raced through it because I wanted to know what happened. In true Rick Riordan fashion, he leaves us aching to have the next book hit shelves. If your child has read all the older Riordan books, then I highly suggest putting this one under the tree. It’s so good, and you will see one of the characters from the Percy Jackson series play a role in the book!

Magnus Chase Book 2

Why not put a teaser in their stocking along with the first Magnus Chase book, put a note letting them know that next year they will have the second book arrive on their doorstep! I can’t wait for Magnus Chase: The Hammer of ThorMagnus Chase: The Hammer of Thor to come out, I just wish Santa could bring me an advanced copy!

Percy Jackson Greek Heroes

Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes will fill you in on the all the daring deeds of Perseus, Atalanta, Bellerophon, and the rest of the major Greek heroes, told from the hilarious point-of-view of Percy of course.

Greek Gods

I haven’t checked this one out yet but wanted to include it in my gift guide. So here is a bit about Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods:

Percy Jackson explains how the world was created, then gives readers his personal take on a who’s who of ancients, from Apollo to Zeus. Percy does not hold back. “If you like horror shows, blood baths, lying, stealing, backstabbing, and cannibalism, then read on, because it was a Golden Age for all that.”

Rick Riordan is an amazing writer and those of you who have kids that love to read or maybe kids who get bored reading, these are great gift ideas for both. For those who like to read it will keep them busy, for those who may not love to read right now, the way Rick Riordan writes, it draws them in. It could very well be the best gift you give this year, the gift of reading and enjoying it!

Have you ever read a Rick Riordan book?
