When we think of “Elf on The Shelf”, immediate thoughts go to Christmas, but now there is another time of the year we can bring out our favorite elf. This is our first year officially doing the “Elf on The Shelf” fun (check out some of our fun on Instagram). Now with this tradition, I am definitely looking forward to the upcoming birthdays after. We will get to have our Elf, Snow Angel, come visit a few times of year thanks to Elf on The Shelf Birthday tradition.

In Santa’s Christmas village, the elves have their own special way of celebrating birthdays—a tradition that goes back thousands of years. Now, at the request of children around the world, Santa has given special permission for his scout elves to share that tradition with the families who love them. But an elf cannot come to a birthday party unless it is invited.
The Elf on the Shelf®: A Birthday Tradition tells the little-known story of the North Pole birthday tradition, and includes special instructions for families to invite their scout elf for a birthday visit. The Elf on the Shelf® birthday book also includes a special Claus Couture Collection® Birthday Outfit just for the elf. Written in signature rhyme by best-selling authors Carol Aebersold and Chanda Bell, and illustrated with Coë Steinwart’s classic watercolor art, the book represents the first original title from this award-winning team since the publication of The Elf on the Shelf in 2005.
We love birthdays and, it seems, Santa does too! My older son is a little past the age of liking this kind of stuff, but my younger son and daughter are going to LOVE this come their birthday time.

When it comes to being a guest at a party, you want to arrive in style. With their cute little party hats and adorable cupcake outfits, the elves get decked out and ready to celebrate the birthday, but don’t forget to invite them. You can also register to get a birthday message from Santa himself. The Elf on The Shelf Birthday Tradition comes with only the book and outfit, so be sure to already have (or order) your doll. This fun little tradition would make a great gift idea to leave out from Santa this year, for the birthdays to come!
