Our favorite villain turned good guy and minions are back on the big screen starting June 30. We have been a fan of all the Despicable Me movies so far and we have no doubt that we will fall in love with Despicable Me 3. There is just something about the characters of the Despicable Me movie lineup that my family loves.
DESPICABLE ME 3 – In Theaters June 3
Illumination, who brought audiences Despicable Me and the biggest animated hits of 2013 and 2015, Despicable Me 2 and Minions, continues the adventures of Gru, Lucy, their adorable daughters—Margo, Edith and Agnes—and the Minions in Despicable Me 3. Directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, co-directed by Eric Guillon and written by Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio, the animated film is produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and executive produced by Chris Renaud.
Joining Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig in Despicable Me 3 is Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award winner Trey Parker, co-creator of Comedy Central’s global phenomenon South Park and the Broadway smash The Book of Mormon. Parker voices the role of villain Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who’s grown up to become obsessed with the character he played in the ‘80s, and proves to be Gru’s most formidable nemesis to date. The film will be released in theaters on June 30, 2017.

How fun are those new Despicable Me items! They are perfect for getting you ready for the opening weekend and anything that will help my kids brush their teeth better I am all for!

I will be going with our friends Dave and Mimi, and here’s why. When Despicable Me (the original) came out, we had no intention of seeing it. The 4 of us had gone to the theater to see another movie (can’t even remember which one at this point) and it was sold out. We decided since we were already there, we would just see another movie, and Despicable Me was the next one to start. We ended up laughing our fool heads off, and just, in general, had a great time.
I’m very excited to take my three kids to see this movie.
