Today is Day 18 and we are talking about weddings. Β Share with us about the one you had or the one you dream of. Β I have a few pictures from mine to share today:
This is one of the man and I. I giggle at how young he looks.
My oldest was our ring bearer and his aunt (my sister) was our flower girl. So cute. I love the middle picture of my grandfather and I dancing.
This one is one of the portrait’s of me (in my ever changing hair color) and of my mom walking me down the aisle with my son & sister:
The cakes…I never even got one of the chocolate strawberries.
Our wedding was beautiful, I walked down to Pachelbel’s Canon D, that song has always been such a beautiful one to me and I always knew I wanted it to be what I walked down the aisle too. The service was sweet and short (my favorite kind) with a unity candle lighting that we had “A Moment Like This” playing while we lit it.
Our first dance was to “A Moment Like This” by Shania Twain. My father/daughter dance was to “Butterfly Kisses”. My grandfather dance was to Louis Armstrongs “What A Wonderful World”. The groomsmen were in black tuxes. My bridesmaids were in a goldish champagne color two piece. I LOVED my bridesmaids dresses, the top was a tie up the back kind (you see a lot of wedding dresses like this) and it was completely separate from the skirt which was the same color. The detail of this top was beautiful and could be worn with anything after.
My dress was a champagne/white spaghetti strap A-line style dress. It had an empire waist with hand stitched champagne flowers. Simple but elegant. I had an updo (you can see above) with a tiara crown that had a veil. Though the veil did not go over to the front of my face, no way, can’t do the veil on the front of my face. We had a buffet style reception with lots of fun dances and I even busted my zipper on my dress I was having so much fun. It was held at a convention center. We had our close friends and family and it was a perfect evening.
Now if you are a blogger joining in, link up your Day 18 post below and if you aren’t a blogger share about your wedding or dream wedding in the details.

Beautiful wedding! You are so gorgeous then and now! π
Aww you are too kind!
I walked down the aisle to the same song. Great choice! π
I know I still love to turn it on, always seems to calm me down.
So beautiful! I remember when you got married π
AWWW you do! Well I shall be there when you do π
You looked beautiful.I love the song Butterfly Kisses… perfect song choice for a father/daughter dance. π
I know that song always chokes me up.
aaah what a gorgeous wedding! And your hair is divine!!
I love “what a wonderful world”. It is a total story in a song!
Since I can’t talk about the dresses in my blog….have you ever seen someone with black bridesmaids dresses in a spring wedding? Or am I the only one that thinks that’s unusual? She’s not going for a goth wedding, but she says that her sister looks *um* bad in a colored dress. ?? I find that odd. So ALL her bridesmaids are wearing black dresses. =/
I guess it would depend on the color scheme of her wedding. But usually I see black more for winter/fall.
Beautiful wedding memories!
