Congratulations to ShaRonda for winning this giveaway!
One of the things my daughter and I like to do around the Christmas holiday is cuddle and watch some “girly” movies. This Christmas will be no different. She doesn’t know it yet but we will get to watch a DVD together that she has been asking for as a gift this Christmas. All wrapped up for her under the tree is Barbie: A Perfect Christmas. I can already see her big blue eyes brightening up when the wrapping comes off.
Of course, I had the chance to watch it before wrapping it to see if I thought this might be something she would like. My daughter can be a bit picky when it comes to videos, they have to keep her interested. I have learned this the hard way when some DVD’s I picked up didn’t keep her attention for more than 2 seconds. I have learned what she does and does not like and I am going on on a limb and saying she will be extremely pleased with the new addition to her movie collection.
“Barbie: A Perfect Christmas” stars Barbie and her three sisters – Skipper, Stacy and Chelsea, whose holiday vacation turns into an unexpected adventure filled with new friends and magical experiences. In the end, the sisters learn a heartwarming lesson that the joy of being together is what really makes A Perfect Christmas!
As they venture to New York, they get delays and realize they are not going to make it to NYC by Christmas. Will they be able to enjoy the holiday the same way they would if they made it to NYC? The lessons they teach that Christmas is really about family runs deep and something I teach my kids. I love that this movie is teaching my daughter a positive lesson and reiterating one of the lessons we share about Christmas. I have to admit I giggled a little bit that Skipper was a blogger, I am waiting for my daughter to point that similarity between Skipper and I out.
Barbie: A Perfect Christmas DVD is one that you should consider giving your little girl this season. A classic toy brought to life on screen teaching a lesson that is so important to remember. If your child is anything like mine I bet she will enjoy it, and if you are like me you will enjoy it right along with her.

I teach my children that it is always better to give than to receive. We each draw the name of a child in need for Christmas and provide presents for that child.
