With Christmas right around the corner, my kids have come to expect one of their favorite snacks…Christmas Chex Mix. It’s a recipe I got from my grandmother and it’s such a hit in our home, it’s hard to keep in stock. With just 7 ingredients and the hardest part being the stirring, this is a treat that is easy to make and friends and family will enjoy every time they come over! Here is the recipe and below are the step by step photos!
- 1 (8 ounce) can salted peanuts
- 1 (8 ounce) bag pretzels
- 1 (12 ounce) bag M&M’s plain chocolate candy
- 3 cups Cheerios toasted oat cereal
- 3 cups Rice Chex
- 2 (12 ounce) bags white chocolate chips
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Add first five ingredients to a large bowl and mix well.
- Add white chips and oil to a microwavable bowl.
- Microwave for 1 minute, stir and microwave another 30 seconds or until melted.(I stir every 30 seconds)
- Pour melted chips over mixture and mix until well coated
- Spread in thin layer over wax paper to cool.
- Once cool break apart and put in container.
- Enjoy to your hearts content
Pour the ingredients in one by one!

Pour into mixture and mix, coating well:

Last, but no photo, spread out on wax paper to cool and set. The put into a contain and enjoy all season long!

This Chex Mix looks so good! I am used to the spicier version, but I like what you did here!
What a great Christmas treat. I’d love to try this with milk or dark chocolate chips in place of the white chocolate chips. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
I love Chex Mix! I was thinking of making some for friends this holiday.
That’s a fun recipe. I like the savory mixes best.
