As I shopped for those cute little faces up there I couldn’t wait to fix up their “baskets” so they could dig into their treats and play with their new toys. Yes, each Christmas we treat our doggies to some gifts. In my shop post and Google + Story, you got to see how we scoured the pet section at our local Walmart and picked up some fun toys and treats to get started on the baskets for my dogs.
We picked up new comfy beds for them, rope toys so they can play tug of war, new food bowls and of course a dogs favorite things….snacks. They were going to be treated with Milk-Bone® treats, Pup-Peroni snacks, and Milo’s Kitchen Snacks. As I got all the goodies in it was time to assemble the baskets, or beds into temporary baskets rather.
First basket we put together some necessities and cute stuff that I might appreciate more than the dog. The bed, some new food bowls, and some ornaments for the tree. All my kiddos are represented on our tree so why shouldn’t our doggies be too, right?
Next up was the basket they were sure to love. Full of snacks and toys it was a dogs dream. We had Milk-Bone® treats, Pup-Peroni snacks, and Milo’s Kitchen Snacks along with lots of toys for them to play with! A doggie dream basket this one was!
To see how much Guido enjoyed one of the toys check out this video:
Obviously that toy didn’t last too long, he was determined to get the squeaker out! They both love the ropes and more often than not you will find them playing tug of war with one rope even though they have about 5. The minute they hear one of the snack packages open they drop whatever they are doing and run full force to get their treat for the day. I have to say they seem to be truly enjoying their early Christmas baskets, playing and snacking definitely wears them out!
Merry Christmas to my little fur babies, I hope they enjoy their goodies as much as my family and I enjoyed picking the items out and putting the baskets together.

Awww, they are so cute! My dog of 17 years died 8 years ago the day before Christmas Eve. I miss him. We have been thinking of adopting another one lately. Dogs can provide us so much joy!
Awwww. I know your furry kids loved their baskets! Stuffed toys don’t last long around my house either! 😉

So sweet, they are just like children. Santa brought them so good stuff early.
