Breaking Dawn, Finally! Let’s Talk The Dress & Shoes

breaking dawn
On Thursday (11/17/2011) I headed to the theater at 4 p.m., no I was not one of the crazies standing in line for the midnight release, rather I was one of the dedicated. I went to watch the first 3 movies before the midnight release of Breaking Dawn part 1. I love doing that and next year when Breaking Dawn part 2 is released in November I will watch the first 4 if they are doing that. Okay this post isn’t a play by play of my night but rather a post to share what I thought of one specific outfit. The bride’s!

All I could say (or think as it’s rude to be loud in a theater) was “GASP”, Bella’s wedding dress and shoes were to die for. When I renew my vows I would love to stun in that gown. It was so simply elegant it even took my breath away. Originally designed by Caroline Herrera a replica has been made by Alfred Angelo. With size 0-30 available, you too, can stun on your special day. I am seriously in love with this dress. Check it out…

This dress features long lace-trimmed sleeves, a Chantilly-inspired lace applique trim and a plunging cut-out illusion back. The gown in the movie is silk, while the replica gown uses liquid satin. Everything down to the button and stitching on the bodices matches that of the gown in the movie while the lace stitching is very similar. I’m telling you this dress is to die for, a simple elegance that was very fitting to Kristin Stewart’s character.

Next were the shoes, OH THE SHOES. If you know me I am a shoe lover and these were, well, TO DIE FOR! Manolo Blahnik (one of my bucket list shoes, yes I have shoes on my bucket list) was the designer for these jeweled beauties.  Appropriately named Swan, they were  lovely, just look at them…

At an “affordable” $1295.00 you can have these too. A girl can dream right. Made with satin the pump features crystal-beaded vine applique angled across vamp and outer side. With a 4 1/2 inch heel and almond toe you will be the shoe envy of everyone in the room, not to mention taller! You can even get them in cranberry and black. I think I would have to go with the cranberry, add a little color!

Want to know my thoughts on the actual movie, watch for that post coming in a few days. Until then I would love to know if you saw Breaking Dawn pt. 1 what did you think of the wedding fashion, especially Bella’s?

I will not be watching the movie, mostly because I cannot stand Kristen Stewart as Bella. But I did see those shoes on Pinterest the other day and LOVE!!
