What happens when you get 25 moms together for a night filled with celebrities, red carpets, and after parties…Memories of course. As part of my recent trip to California, that I am still recovering from, but so worth the recovery needed, I had the chance to attend the Big Hero 6 red carpet premiere in LA! Of course before one can actually walk the red carpet, one must decide on the perfect attire…
And make sure to have a little fun with friends!
Once ready, we all headed to the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd, which is right across from the El Capitan where the premiere was being held, to enjoy some cocktails and appetizers. I’m just sayin’ those burgers were delish!
After noshing on some goodness, we had to take a few before the red carpet selfies!
Once the time was right, we gathered our phones, bags, and headed over to the red carpet. What I noticed about this red carpet was the amazing amount of detail that went into it. I don’t want to giveaway anything in this post, but it was so true to the movie in design it was amazing!
We saw celebrities and took photos right there on the red carpet. Now what was different about this premiere…I didn’t feel rushed. I always love premieres, but this one has a special place in my heart. The security guards, while they did ask us to move along, they were not pushy, they were nice and in fact told us if we could just clear a way we could take photos! So, that’s just what we did.
Unfortunately my phone didn’t upload some of the celeb photos, and they are no where to be found (yay for my new phone that should not do that in the future). However, I did have a chance to take photo with Dez from Austin and Alley and Jamie Chung who voices Go-Go in Big Hero 6. But I saw so many other celebs, Pete Wentz, Josh Gad, Tito Ortiz, Ross Lynch, and so many more. The premiere was truly a wonderful experience! Not just for us, it seems, but the celebs from the movie, as well!
As if a premiere isn’t enough fun, we had the chance to attend the after party at Yamashiro. This place was AMAZING! Again, all the photos I took, were deleted but thankfully Disney had some ready for me!
I had a chance to take a photo with Jamie Chung, who plays Go-Go, she is super sweet! The after-party was full of fun themed food, that would have fit right into the movie and the atmosphere was electric! With an activity room, that had cupcake decorating stations, a photo booth station, disney infinity station and more, there was fun to be had by kids and adults alike!
The entire night was magical and I feel so blessed to have had the chance to be a part of it. Now, I am sure you wondered what about the movie itself? Don’t worry, that post is coming soon, but I will say GO SEE IT!!!! Find out why in my next post!
