Countdown to Christmas: Day 4 & 5

Christmas Music

Continuing my countdown to Christmas today I thought I would share some fun songs, ones that make me feel like a kid again. We will keep them both in the Alvin and the Chipmunks theme because I love those little furballs.

The first one I remember I actually could have fit to a T in 1st grade but instead of two front teeth it was my four front teeth. For some strange reason my teeth came out normally but took forever to grow back, so I kept losing teeth and just had my four front top teeth missing all at some point. Finally they did grow in but I like the song could barely wish a Merry Christmas:

Next is the Alvin & The Chipmunks Christmas songs. It was always one of my favorites growing up and is now one of my kids favorites. Christmas Don’t Be Late:

Keep coming back here until Christmas day to share in some more of my favorite Christmas songs.

Hi, I’m Toni — a mom of three, psych major, Gulf Coast girly, and full-time collector of life plot twists. I’m currently navigating mid-life with caffeine, humor, and the kind of chaos that deserves its own sitcom. Between college meltdowns, Disney escapism (hey adulting is hard and Mickey doesn't judge), family adventures, and whatever fresh nonsense life throws at me, I’m documenting it all with honesty, sass, and zero attempts at pretending I have it together. Welcome to A Daily Dose of Toni — the chaos era, but make it cozy.

Love Alvin & The Chipmunks… I actually remember receiving and Alvin and the Chipmunks album when I was young as a Christmas gift. There was a TV show in 1961-1962, so I suspect that was why I got the album. It was called The Chipmunk Songbook. Boy, do I wish I had saved that stuff… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chipmunk_Songbook

That’s so weird, because in first grade I had my four front upper teeth fall out, and it took three months for them to come in. Everyone had a hard time understanding me when I tried to talk because my tongue had nothing to hit. I did learn to hit the front upper roof of my mouth to make most words clearer, but I still got teased really bad. Even my parents would sing, “All she wants for Christmas is her four front teeth, her four front teeth….”.
I even remember my first grade teacher’s name Miss Bailey, because she never made fun of me.
