Quotable Sunday: Crying

Quotable SundayHey there fellow quoters I hope you are all doing wonderfully this Sunday!  I can’t wait to get over and read (and yes today I will comment LOL) your quotes.  Today mine are quotes about crying, it’s been a rough week for me all this past week.  I have been so emotional over so many things, maybe I will blog about them, maybe I won’t.  All I know is a break is much needed by yours truly.  So if my blog is a bit repetitive with only the countdown to Christmas songs I apologize.  I am having the bloggy blues and kinda want to go back into my little hole.  Okay enough about my problems for the moment, without further ado here are my quotes this week:

The sorrow which has no vent in tears may make other organs weep.  ~Henry Maudsley

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.  ~Kahlil Gibran

Let your tears come.  Let them water your soul.  ~Eileen Mayhew

Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion.  I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning up to do afterward.  ~Kurt Vonnegut

Heaven knows we need never be ashamed of our tears, for they are rain upon the blinding dust of earth, overlying our hard hearts.  ~Charles Dickens,Great Expectations, 1860

The soul would have no rainbow had the eyes no tears.  ~John Vance Cheney

Tearless grief bleeds inwardly.  ~Christian Nevell Bovee

Time engraves our faces with all the tears we have not shed.  ~Natalie Clifford Barney

Heavy hearts, like heavy clouds in the sky, are best relieved by the letting of a little water.  ~Antoine Rivarol

A woman wears her tears like jewelry.  ~Author Unknown

To weep is to make less the depth of grief.  ~William Shakespeare, King Henry the Sixth

It is some relief to weep; grief is satisfied and carried off by tears.  ~Ovid

Sometimes I just need to cry, it helps at least a little, now if only crying would bring the answers to the situations and hurts I am crying over yes??  Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday and remember it’s okay to cry!

I kinda had a bad weekend too. YEs, I cried an AWFUL lot. But that sad part is OUT of my life right now, I just focused on the more happier people in my life…like you for one of them. Your blog is amazing, and i love the fact that you don’t have to resort to swearing like some bloggers…Swearing isn’t necessary I don’t think.

So i hope this find U well and that you will not be sad anymore. Cause U are super AWESOME….

P.S. How did you end up spending that $500 you won from say it face to face?
    Just curious…;)

Awww, I hope things get better for you!

I don’t cry very much. I don’t know why. Must be my cold cold heart. I do cry at movies though – go figure!

Hope all the things that are making you feel like crying are quickly resolved, so you’ll feel once again like smiling.

Awww- The quotes are beautiful but sad. I hope you can do something to cheer yourself up soon! Put on happy music in between the Christmas music. I always get emotional at Christmas too- Part of all that we have gone through all year starts rolling over and between making us aware of “us”, ourselves, “we” also parts making us notice others… all types of others-
Make a smoothie, put on happy music, get the kids started on a happy craft and then sit back and watch a movie or play a game- It will get better-

To weep is to make less the depth of grief.
~William Shakespeare, King Henry the Sixth

I totally disagree with this quote. I have cried quite a bit in my lifetime and never did crying make true grief and sorrow any better.

Wow…I feel I have been directed to THIS one. It’s been a LONG 8 years plus with health issues and especially the past year. Sometimes I feel I will choke on the knot in my throat…I should just take note of all these beautiful quotes and let the river flow. SO, hard trying to put on a “face” all the time.
    My favorites are;
John Vance Cheney’s…I have heard this one before but dont keep it close to me like I maybe should. ( The soul would have no rainbows had the eyes no tears)
    AND
Let your tears come…let them water your soul. (Eileen Mayhew).
I am SO glad I found these!!! thank you!
