We’ll Have Quite A Christmas Story With Our Daisy Red Ryder & You Can Too!

Bright and early I was on a mission to Walmart to pick up some much needed items, as well as, one of the gifts the kids will get to wake up on Christmas morning too.  I headed in to get my shopping done after dropping my two younger kids off at school…the minute I walked in a bit of a reality hit me!  TWELVE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!  Where in the world did time go??!!  No matter. I am here today to pick up a little something that will bring a smile to one of my  kiddos faces Christmas morning!

First, I had to take care of some important business.  There can be no furry legs nor smelly ones this Christmas.  So, I had to pick up a few much needed items.

Before heading to the final stop in the store, I had to check out the Christmas selection Walmart has. Our Christmas tree finally got a bit too yellow (the downfall to a white tree) so this year we need a new one. We haven’t found a time yet to get to Walmart together but I still wanted to check out the selection to get a head start for when we do come back. If you are looking for Christmas trees or decor, you will not be disappointed…

Finally, it was time to pick up the gift of all gifts! So I headed to a place I rarely step foot in myself..

The Sporting Goods section. Before I show you what that is, let me give you a little backstory on why this is going to be such an appreciated gift. I married an outdoorsman. He loves to hunt and fish and naturally our kids have each picked up a little of that. Two love to fish, one loves to hunt and they all want to shoot at targets. The two younger ones aren’t quite old enough for me to feel comfortable but my oldest (13) is! What better than a classic to find Christmas morning, a bb gun from Daisy Outdoor Products.

We all know, and probably fell in love with the cute kid from A Christmas Story. After seeing that movie there was no stopping my son from wanting a Daisy Red Ryder himself. Who am I to say no! Of course I really wanted a pink one but I don’t think my son would have appreciated that.  With a husband who has been a hunter, for as long as he can remember, I know my son (and the other two) has always been taught gun safety. The lessons started early with them and as they grow they will continue. We have safety glasses from last Christmas but we definitely needed a bit more ammo (bbs). After adding the the gun and bbs to the buggy it was time to head home. Well, after picking up something to go along with the Daisy Red Ryder..

I thought it was fitting. Once home I added the Daisy Red Ryder to the gifts for safekeeping until it come out Christmas morning! Shhh, don’t tell!
