Warner Brothers Eating Right With Kids Review

Looney TunesRecently I had the chance to review some of Safeway Eating right products courtesy of Safeway and Team Mom. I will say I am a bit bummed that I don’t have a Safeway near me.

As a mom of 3 very picky children I am always looking for something that is tasty and nutrious.  If it is nutrious my kids seem to have a radar that says “This is going to taste bad, start gag reflex now”.  When we received our box of Looney Tunes Eating Right for Kids items I was a bit nervous.  With picky eaters it’s not always easy getting them to try anything new, let alone like it.

We received a lunch bag, pasta, chewy bar, fruit cups and juice and well let me just say with my daughter it was an instant hit.  I am proud to say she didn’t share…okay maybe not proud that she didn’t share in general but because she enjoyed the juice and pasta so much her brothers didn’t even have a chance to try it.  In her exact words “Mmm I love these mommy , they are my favorite”.  I myself ate the fruit cup, and we did try the chewy bar, while that wasn’t a favorite of ours it was okay (not big fruit chewy bar fans here).

A bit of interesting facts about the line and some of the foods:

  • The fruit cups  are single serve containers, perfect for that after school snack to hold you over until dinner.  In naturally flavored light syrup with 100 % of daily value of Vitamin c, this is one snack I can feel good about giving my child.  Choose from mixed fruit, diced peaches (my favorite), or diced pears.
  • The Juice which my daughter scarfed down, is corn syrup free.  Choose from white grape cherry, fruit punch, apple and orange tangerine.
  • The Eating Right With Kids line has been formulated to standards based on the most recent dietary recommendations and regulations from several federal and state agencies.
  • Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ and Safeway’s Eating Right with Kids was highlights by the FTC for it’s ability to have a positive impact on childhood obesity.
  • Combined with the adult eating right line there are over 200 products: Breakfast, Drinks, Frozen, Breads, Pastas, etc.

My house definitely gives two thumbs up to Warner Bros. and Safeway for coming up with a wonderful healthy product that kids will love.  Now if they would just put a Safeway near me, all would be perfect.  So head over to a Safeway near you today and pick up a few things that are healthy and tasty…something it’s hard to find for those picky children.

What are some things you give to your children for snacks that are yummy and at the same time healthy?

Thank you to Team Mom and Safeway for providing the product for the review.
