Summer vacation is almost here and while we get a little break from sports practices and school work, that doesn’t mean we slow down. We have just a few weeks and our sports practices start back up, but at the beginning of summer, we are busy and on the go. Not to mention having all three kids home, all day, can get a little heavy on the pocket book when it comes to food. They tend to want to eat way more during the summer, than they do during the school year, for some reason! So, I need something that is affordable and fast for those busy summer days (or night)! But, I don’t want it to be boring!

Dig Into Something Different
Thankfully, I have found something affordable, quick, easy, and most definitely not boring. Tombstone Limited Edition Bratwurst Pizza! We are a house of pizza lovers and I admit, I get tired of the same ‘ole pepperoni pizza. Until now, that’s been a staple for our summer eats, but thanks to the TOMBSTONE ® Limited Edition Bratwurst Pizza, boring is no more! Featuring unique flavor combinations, premium meats, and 100% real Wisconsin Cheese, it’s totally unexpected and delicious.

We found our pizza in the freezer section at Walmart. Instead of the normal cheese and pepperoni, I was getting a little bit of a kick with this easy summer meal. The combination of bratwurst, green peppers, onions, cheddar, mozzarella, and tomato sauce with spicy brown mustard was a delicious twist on pizza.
What’s really cool, is if you visit the Tombstone Pizza Facebook Page, they have a Tombstone Grilling app. I had no idea you could grill pizza. The app gives the instructions on how to cook their pizzas on the grill. To cook on the grill you simply, fire up your gas grill to 400 degrees and cook it with the lid closed for about 15-19 minutes. Unfortunately, we do not have a gas grill, so we did it the old fashioned way, but it was still AMAZING!

The Limited Edition Pizza has two unique flavors: Bratwurst and Diablo, which has chorizo, jalapenos, sweet red peppers, cheese, and fiery sriracha sauce mixed in. I can not wait to get my hands on that one! Because I have almost 3 months of the kids being at home, I have to change it up a bit, so they don’t complain that our meals get boring. There will be no more complaints with these fun flavors.
As mentioned, I don’t have a grill so we cooked our pizza in the oven for 17 minutes. Because pizza is no fun by itself, I made easy strawberry short cakes to enjoy with the pizza!

We are going to love coming in from our beach days and have a dinner and dessert ready to eat in less than 20 minutes! The Limited Edition Bratwurst pizza was perfect for both us adults and kids. The kids get to enjoy pizza (always a favorite) and us adults get to enjoy the twist on the toppings!
