There are times I am on the phone and one of my kiddos wants to cuddle, or I need both hands to write a blog post. I have only two choices in instances like those. A) Hold the phone with my shoulder and head which results, more often than not, in a crick in my neck OR B) Keep my head upright and use my hand to hold the phone leaving me one handed meaning I have to put off a lot of what I need to do during my talk time. Thanks to the VTech LS6475-3 that predicament is no more. I can be hands free and cuddle the kiddos, wash the dishes or finish up that post I have been working on.
I was sent a VTech LS6475-3 to review and I have been so impressed with everything this phone has to offer. When it arrived I immediately opened the box to see what all was included:
Lots of stuff was included. Two phones, two base stations (one with answering machines), necessary plugs, batteries, instructions, headsets (over the ear and over the head) with extra ear and over the ear pieces. I was ready to get to talking, unfortunately you have to let it charge for several hours before us so to resist temptation I plugged them in right before bed time. There is just something about having a new phone bring out the need to make a call on it. When I woke up the next morning I got to exploring my new “toy”. The main base station has an answering machine, however if you have voicemail you can turn it off and it will tell you right on the screen that you have a new voicemail. It also has an extra handset that you simply plug the extra station into an outlet (no phone line needed on second station) so you should always have a phone ready. Trust me there is nothing worse than only having one phone and the battery die right when you answer. I immediately tested out the ringtones (there are several to choose from) and put on the over the ear set followed by the headset. I have to say I loved them both because they kept my hands free but I preferred the one that has the “headband” feel, it felt more secure. To answer I simply pressed a button and voila I could blog, wash dishes, do laundry and whatever else I had to put on hold before due to being only one hand free. Lastly, I really appreciated the caller id announce function so that if I don’t have my headset on I can figure out if it is a call that needs to be answered AKA not a salesperson. My kids loved the Push to Talk feature because they are liking having walkie talkies around the house and with a range of 500 feet from the base you can go all over to use them. Overall I am loving the VTech LS6475-3 and I don’t have any plans on switching brands. So if you are looking for a new phone or wanting to replace your current one with a phone that allows you to get more done I highly suggest the VTech LS6475-3. It’s a hit in our house!
