Our soccer season wrapped up with my oldest going to the finals and his team placing third. He also got to invite his soccer friends to his end of season birthday party. Since our team didn’t actually have an end of season party we themed his birthday for soccer so the kids could enjoy a wrap up to a wonderful season.
With hot dogs galore, cookies to no end and cake of course I have to say the party was so much fun for me as well as the kids. They all came wearing their jerseys, even the ones not on his team. From the moment they arrived it was game on with soccer played all over the park. You would have thought after a season full of practices and games they would want to give soccer a rest. Nope not these boys (and my little girl who didn’t play this year but has in past) ran around at full speed scoring goal after goal.
I was afraid they wouldn’t take a break to eat, an accident changed that, not a bad one just a ball set sail in the bay and we couldn’t get it back. So that was time to grab them up and make them scarf down some food before they ran off again. Each boy (and girl) there had a wonderful time, we discussed the season, laughed, played and just had an all around wonderful time. They snacked on the cookies and enjoyed the cupcakes (made into a soccer ball of course) and just had a wonderful time.
This soccer season my sons pushed themselves to a new level and it ended on such a good note that they are already talking about next season. They are anxious to add another trophy to their collection.
