You can make every day delicious with Kraft! And that’s just what we did when we made their Taco Bake recipe! What I loved about this recipe is my kids, who are probably the world’s pickiest eaters, loved it. To find something all five of us enjoy is rare, so this Taco Bake will be a regular meal for us. It’s perfect for holiday get-togethers or anytime you want something that’s quick, easy and tasty! For the Taco Bake, you only need six ingredients (though we only used five of the six)!
Taco Bake
I started the Taco Bake by cooking the deluxe mac and cheese per the package instructions. While it’s cooking, I went ahead and made my meat and added the taco seasoning according to the instructions. Once the mac and cheese finished cooking, I drained the noodles and added the cheese packet, then mixed it well. Next, I added sour cream to the mac and cheese! While the recipe, on the site, calls for salsa we left it out, due to picky eaters, so we omitted that step from the Taco Bake recipe.
In a greased 8×8 pan you will layer half of the mac and cheese mixture, followed by the meat, shredded cheese, then the rest of the mac and cheese mixture. Bake the Taco Bake in the oven at 400 for 15 minutes, then top with remaining shredded cheese (and salsa if desired) and return to oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove and enjoy!
I added some freshly made salsa to mine, and it was delish. You could add some canned veggies into the casserole or top with black beans when it’s done cooking. You really can jazz up the Taco Bake, the possibilities are endless! Of course, the Taco Bake isn’t the only recipe you can enjoy at your next celebration or just when you want to add something new to your dinner menu. Here are some more recipes you can try:
